This sounds surprisingly close to another of Bridgette's recent films, Love Stinks...

O'Connell's character, feeling pressurized into proposing marriage by his girlfriend (Bridgette), takes to the singles scene in an effort to avoid commitment and prove his manliness to the world before taking the plunge.

Despite the suspend-your-disbelief-from-a-great-height premise (someone not wanting to get hitched to...er, Bridgette?) this seems like a promising feature, with a decent cast. And, of course, anyone who has seen The Real Blonde or Love Stinks will know that Bridgette has a canny knack for comedy.

This has just wrapped (January 2000), so expect a late Spring or Summer release. It's produced by Destination Films; news on a distributor when I get it.
