Chat Instructions

Once upon a time, Noah Taylor fan extraordinaire Jennifer was kind enough to answer my plea to set up an Internet Relay Chat (IRC). But the service wasn't always accessible and the instructions for using the chat service was confusing.

In February 1999, I set up a list at egroups.com to remind people of upcoming chats every month. The good news is that egroups has set up chat areas which are accessible to list members. If you join the noahtaylorchat list, you can access the area and receive reminders. The bad news is you need Java to chat... but egroups promises to be far more reliable than the old IRC site.
