For the moment, Steve Burton isn't on General Hospital playing his brooding Jason Quartermaine, but he's never out of the hearts and minds of his legion of fans. Who can forget that quiet strength, killer bod and thick blonde hair?
His former co-star Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda) admits that she had a crush on Burton even before she met him: "I loved Steve from seeing him on Out of this World. I used to watch the show just to get a good look at him. And then we got to work together. I was pretty nervous about it."
Marcil isn't the first woman to be swayed by Burton's classic good looks. It was perfect storytelling when GH's Carly fell so in love with Jason that she wove a massive web of lies to get him to be Michael's father. Most women would do most anything for a man like Burton! Plus, there was an added bonus: He was the perfect father to her son! What more could a woman want?

When asked just what makes Steve Burton so damn gorgeous, one might mention his ice-blue eyes, high cheek bones, and full lips. But Burton's appeal is more than the sum of his parts. "I've loved watching Steve grow from the boy we cast 7 years ago to the man he is today," says GH casting director Mark Teschner. "His beauty comes from his confidence, his inner power and his focus. Those are all the things that transcend the way he looks, and he brings that to his work and to his life."
A transplanted Ohio boy, Burton ended up in California when his parents divorced and his father moved to Beverly Hills. His first acting job was an appearance in a national Coke commercial, and he soon landed a role on the syndicated sitcom Out of this World. After a short stint on DAYS, Burton was hired by GH to play goody-two-shoes Jason Quartermaine. Have fans been put off by his character's transformation into bad-boy Jason Morgan? No way! In fact, Burton won an Emmy this year for Best Supporting Actor.
