Scene is set in Luke's club. Jason enters the room and looks around. He spots Robin.
Robin: "Hey.....surprise!"
Jason: "Robin!" (happy & surprised)
Robin: "Happy birthday" (they hug and kiss)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Jason: "What are you doing here?"
Robin: "It's your birthday! Sonny & I wanted to surprise you."
Jason: "It worked."
Robin: "I know. You should see the look on your face." (they start to kiss, but Jason pulls away)
Jason: "Well, you lied to me."
Robin: "About tests? Yes. I had my last exam this morning and then Sonny sent a car for me."
Jason: "And my bike is all torn up because I wanted to make sure it didn't break down to pick you up on Thursday."
Robin: "That's why I wasn't ready, because I didn't see your bike."
Jason: "I got one of the cars." (looks at her longingly) "I can't believe you're here. I missed you so much."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Jason: "So, how long you here?"
Robin: "Seven glorious days." (smiling) "You don't know how good it feels to be home and done with that stupid course." (she hugs Jason)
Jason: "Mmmm.....how was the tour?"
Robin: "It was fun, interesting. How was your first Christmas?"
Jason: "It was good I guess. On the tour, did they give..."
Robin: "Christmas! Did you get any presents?"
Jason: "Ahhh, Carly gave me a keychain." (Robin nods) "And then I wento church with Sonny. That was good. It was ok. There were all these little kids dressed up as shepherds and angels and they did these little plays."
Robin: "Ohhhh." (Sonny & Brenda walk in) "Hey!" (Robin & Brenda run to each other)
Brenda: "Oh my God! Robin! What are you doing here?" (Sonny & Jason smile at each other)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Brenda: (to Robin) "I thought you weren't supposed to be here until Thursday?"
Robin: "It's a surprise. It's for Jason's birthday."
Brenda: "Yeah but, Jason. Jason's birthday? Happy birthday!"
Jason: "Thank you." (looks at Sonny) "So, it's okay to lie to people on their birthday?"
Sonny: "Only to give them what they want most. Let's get some champagne and let the ladies talk."
They walk over to the bar, and Robin & Brenda sit down to talk.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Sonny: "Alright everybody! It's time to make a toast!" (they all gather around the bar. Jason is a bit embarrassed) "This is for Jason Morgan's first birthday."
Brenda: ""Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't get you a gift or anything."
Jason: "There's not much that I want." (looks sweetly at Robin)
Robin: "I knew you would say that. You know, all the time I was on the tour I was looking for a present for you. I knew that I would give it to you though, and you would say 'thank you' because I gave it to you, not because you really wanted it."
Jason: "Well...." (he and Robin kiss and smile)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Robin has her hands over Jason's eyes.
Jason: "What are you doing?"
Robin: "It's a surprise!"
Jason: "I thought YOU were."
Robin: "For your first birthday....stop! You can't see through my fingers right?
Jason: "No."
Sonny comes in with a cake saying "Happy Birthday Jason Morgan" He places it on the table in front of Jason. Robin moves her hands off of his eyes.
Robin: "Ta da!" (Jason smiles)
Sonny: "Blow out the candles."
Robin: "Wait, wait, wait. You have to make a wish first."
Jason: "What for?"
Robin: "Whatever you want, you just can't tell anyone what it is or it won't come true.
Jason holds Robin's hand as he makes a wish and blows out the candles.
Sonny: "Ha, ha, ha alright!"
Robin: "Doesn't it look good?" (referring to cake) "Sonny baked it all by himself."
Jason: "Thanks." (pats Sonny's back)
Sonny: "Don't thank me until you try it.....Here, you do the honors." (he hands Jason a large knife)
Jason: "Whoa!" (they all laugh as he starts to cut the cake) "Why chocolate?"
Sonny: "Well, it's Robin's favorite, you, I know you don't care, so.....
Jason: "What, no coconut? Here..." (he starts to put a spoonful of cake into Robin's mouth)
Robin: "No, no, no. Birthday boy gets the first bite."
Jason: "Uh-uh. I want you to."
Sonny: (Robin is licking her lips) "Go ahead."
Robin: (eating cake) "Mmmm, mmmm, it's delicious."
Sonny: "Are you sure?"
Robin: (nods) "Try it please. Why are you so nervous about it?"
Sonny: "Because you know desserts aren't my specialty, and this is the first time I've ever made one."
Robin: "Hey, it's perfect. Just like everything you cook."
Sonny: "You know what I did? I kind of just read the recipe on the box." (they all look at each other) "Ok!" (they all laugh) "It's toast time!" (they all raise their glasses) "A toast to Jason Morgan, my friend. Happy birthday."
Robin: "Happy birthday." (they drink)
Jason: "Thank you."
Robin: "Speech!"
Jason: "Forget it!"
Sonny: "Hey, hey, it's a special occasion. If I could bake, you could talk."
Jason: "Ok......a year ago I woke up and I was all alone. I'm not anymore. I love you both.....and thanks for the birthday party." (Robin runs to Jason and sits on his lap)
Sonny: "Wait until you see what we got planned for you next year." (looks at Robin) "I guess you couldn't buy a present for him?"
Robin: (she and Jason are hugging tightly) "No, did you?"
Sonny: "No, because he's the most impossible person to shop for. But you know what? I'm taking the easy way out, ok? I want you to spend....." (begins to give Jason a wad of bills)
Jason: "Sonny, I....."
Sonny: "Uh, uh, uh.....every nickel on this beautiful creature here. (referring to Robin)
Jason: "I have plenty of money."
Sonny: "Jason, it's a gift. Robin, keep him busy, he's off for the next seven days."
Jason: "But Sonny....."
Robin: "Thank you Sonny."
Sonny: (looks at watch) "You know what? I got to go. I'm late for a meeting, so....."
Robin: "Wait, wait, you didn't even taste your own cake!"
Sonny: "Well, that's for you & Jason. I don't know if you guys are going out tonight, but the club is closed for tonight for both of you chickadees to enjoy yourselves."(Jason & Robin smile)
Robin: "Oh, we will. I'll see you tomorrow." (gets up and hugs Sonny)
Sonny: "Ok. Glad to see you sweetie."
Robin: "Bye."
Jason: "Sonny.....take Joseph and Pete."
Sonny: "Pete, Joseph, ok. Happy birthday friend."
Jason: "Thanks."
Robin: "He alright?" (Takes a lick of the cake)
Jason: "He's better than that. For some reason, he loves fighting with Brenda. Mike says, Mike says they're in love."
Robin: "What do you think?"
Jason: "I think it's none of my business, except if she makes him the way you make me feel, then I want him to have her."
Robin: "And how do I make you feel?"
Jason: "Like I have everything."
They kiss sweetly.....
