Luke is sitting in the penthouse. Jason walks
in.
Luke: "Bonjour. Comment-allez vous?"
Jason: "Renaldo told me you were here."
Luke: "How was Paris?"
Jason: "What can I do for you Luke?"
Luke: (stands up) "Sounds dangerously like a brush
off Jason. Hell rained on my party and my club the
other night. I thought we agreed that there would be
no automatic weaponry pointed in my direction."
Jason: (getting angry) "I'm taking care of what
happened."
Luke: "You walked away from it my friend. What Sonny
gave came with a lot of responsibility. And your #1
responsibility is to your town, your territory, and
your people. If all out warfare breaks out in the
streets.....man. Innocent people will die."
Jason: "And I told you...."
Luke: "YOU TOLD ME NOTHING! Is Robin's life in
danger?!?"
Jason: (angrily walks away. takes off his jacket and
throws it, then starts walking back towards Luke) "I
will pay for the damages done to your club. And
you're right. I am the boss and I want to manage the
business the way Sonny did. I'm not Sonny. I'm me.
His door was always open to you.....Luke, and I
respect that. I will show you the same courtesy. But
you remember you and Sonny were friends and he didn't
mind explaining things to you.....I do. Now you can
call me a screw-up. You can ask me all the questions
you want. But when I tell you things are being taken
care of, that's your answer."

Luke: "You're missing the point junior! My son was in
that club when it was riddled with bullets. So when I
ask you what you are going to do to keep that from
happening again, not only do I expect an answer, I
deserve one."
Jason: "I was gone for a day. Now I'm back. My mind
is on business, and that's where it's going to
stay."
Luke: "And what if Robin follows you?"
Jason: "She won't." (walks toward couch) "Okay. About
your club. I owe you another re-opening party,
complete with wall-to-wall security. Just don't put
my name on the list and you will be fine. As for
Moreno, I made a mistake. I should've moved more
decisively in claiming my position. But I thought if
I came on too strong or too fast that I would trip
the truth about Sonny before we were ready to let
anybody know about it. And I thought since Moreno
believed Sonny was coming back, he wouldn't risk a
hit on me."
Luke: "That's great til somebody steps outta
line."
Jason: "And I admit. It should've been me."
Luke: "Yes. It should've Jason. And I believe that
was my council. Now something or somebody tipped the
scales toward Moreno."
Jason: "Valentine."
Luke: "The mouthpiece"?
Jason: "He sold us out."
Luke: "So you take care of him? Does that leave you
without a lawyer?"
Jason: "I didn't say that. I have someone in
mind."

Luke: "Alright, you're on a search for a new attorney. That's good. The rest of it. Valentine. What you should do about him is none of my concern. But you gotta stay focused Jason. I mean you have to. If you can't, pull a Sonny. Bail. Buy a one-way ticket and take Robin to happily-ever-after in the South of France. But you can't have it both ways. Innocent people will die, and some of them might even be kids. You do not want that."
Jason: "I hear you. So, is there any word on Laura's kid?"
Luke: "You mean Nikolas?"
Jason: "Yeah. I just hope you told her Sonny had nothing to do with it. I wouldn't want her thinking that he did."
Luke: "No. I'll make that clear, and holding his own."
Jason: "So we're cool?"
Luke: "For now."
Jason: "Alright. You mind letting yourself out? I got some business to take care of."
Luke: "No problem. Circle the wagons."
