Jason talks with Sonny about how much he misses Robin

Sonny is sitting at the bar in Luke's. Jason walks in, and goes over to the bar. He grabs a beer and sits down next to Sonny.

Sonny: (looks at Jason) "So?"

Jason: "It's done."

Sonny: "Details would be helpful."

Jason: (sort of whispering) "I told him you don't want drugs running through your territory. Let alone your transport network."

Sonny: "And?"

Jason: "The shipment was forfeited. They were violating a conditon. They knew damn well."

Sonny: "How much?"

Jason: "According to Benny, a million-five."

Sonny: "What'd you do with it?"

Jason: "I torched it. Right in front of them. Told 'em they were lucky to get off with a warning."

Sonny "How'd they take it?"

Jason: "Ahhh.....I don't think they'll be back." (Jason looks at his beer then turns around in his chair. Sonny sees his face is bruised)

Sonny: "Oh really? I thought they had put up a fight."

Jason: "No."

Sonny: "Someone else give Antoinette the bartender a hard time?"

Jason: (he looks down and rubs his eyes with his fingers) "You know I don't even remember."

Sonny: "You don't even.....remember!?!"

Jason: (sighs) "I looked up, there was a guy in my face. Whether or not he said something to me, or Antoinette.....I don't know." (pauses) "And I'm like you.....I don't hear so good sometimes." (Sonny sighs, and Jason looks at him) "He swung first Sonny!"

Sonny: "She's still hundreds of miles away. Beating up every low-life in town can't fix it!"

Jason: "I know."

Sonny: "Yeah, you know."

Jason: (nods) "Yeah."

Sonny: "I already told you fighting won't help!" (Jason is looking down) "It might make things go away for 15 seconds. You come back everything is the same. Except you might have a cop standing over there waiting to arrest you." (Jason scratches his head) "Answer me something." (Jason looks at Sonny) "Do you miss her any less after beating that guy up?"

Jason: (shakes his head) "No."

Sonny: "Then why Jason?" (pauses) "Besides you're supposed to be invisible."

Jason: "Yeah, that's only when I'm working." (takes a sip of beer)

Sonny: "No, no, no! All the time! You're not just a courier anymore Jason. You're my representative. You fight when I say so, only when I say so. You got that?"

Jason: (looks at Sonny) "Yes."

Sonny: (looks away, sighs, then looks at Jason) "It's bad huh?"

Jason: (looking sad) "Ahhh....." (sighs) "Robin said it was an ache that doesn't go away." (pauses) "I don't know. Maybe that's all it is for her. I hope so. I don't want her to feel like this." (sighs) "Oh Sonny. I can't sleep! I can't sleep and you're right. I'm fighting too much. You know.....when she calls me on the phone, just her voice. I can't see her face. I can't say what I want." (pauses) "I want her to come back. She can't. I know that. She has to enjoy herself and not worry about me. So when I'm on the phone, what do I say?" (makes a "dumb" looking face) "'Ahhh....I rode my bike. Sonny's fine.' Nothing. Nothing at all. You know? She tells me about her friends, what she's learned. And half the time I don't hear her because the only thing that matters to me is that she's calling from so far away." (sighs, and looks down) "I went to the bridge. Once." (looks at Sonny. voice trembling) "I will never go back. Because without her......it's empty.....like me. Missing Robin is harder than I ever thought."br>
Sonny: "Me too."

Jason: "Yeah." (shakes his head, takes a sip of beer)
