Jason brings Robin to Yale.....

The scene opens with Robin & Jason sitting in the boxcar, holding hands.

Jason: "When I think about you leaving" (laughs)...."and I remember all the things you taught me. Stuff that didn't make sense at the time, but I held onto anyway because I figured someday it would. Like the night of the Nurse's Ball. You told me that when someone dies, they're still in your heart. Well, you're in my heart, and you always will be. And the other day in the hospital Sonny said I had to look at my future, and I did.....and it looks nothing like yours." (laughs) "I mean we're so different we could be from separate planets."

Robin: "But we're not."

Jason: (nods) "I know. Different cities, different lives, doesn't matter. You're still inside me because you made me."

Robin: "You made me too. It was like we were this leftover pile of bricks. Someone who used to be Jason and someone who used to be me.....somehow you put me back together again. Maybe because you saw who I really am."

Jason: "Like you saw me. Except.....I don't think I turned out like you expected." (they laugh) "Where I'm going.....it's pretty dangerous.....and I would never take you with me but I won't lose you either."

Robin: "You don't have to." (pauses) "We'll always have the bridge."

Jason: (smiles) "The bridge. That's our place.....but you were right about that too.....you can't live your life on a bridge, cut off from everything. You have to care.....you have to, you have to try. I don't know. Maybe," (takes deep breath) "Maybe my dreams are different from yours, but if I never saw you again, you'd still be the most important thing in my life."

Robin: (pauses, then smiles) "You dream?"

Jason: "Yeah. Now. Mostly about you.....living for years.....being a doctor.....I dream about us going to Switzerland."

Robin: (smiling) "And I would go, believe me." (she pauses, and looks at him) "I want to be in your future Jason."

Jason: "You will. No matter what." (whispers) "Because we're a part of each other."

Robin: "Always."

Jason: (whispers) "Always"

Music starts to play.....they hug.....

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Robin & Jason are sitting in the boxcar. He's sitting behind her, with his arms around her shoulders. Their fingers are locked together.

Robin: "This is a good place for us to spend our last night together."

Jason: "Yep.....well, it beats the hospital anyway. For one thing, we have the sky."

Robin: "Is that why you picked it after the Quartermaine's?"

Jason: "No.....I didn't have any money." (they laugh) "The sky was.....the icing on the cake." (they look at each other, and there is a pause)

Robin: "You find the best things where you least expect it. Like this one night, I was on this bridge.....and I met this guy.....and he totally changed my life."

Jason: "Wow. What an amazing coincidence. See, because I was on this bridge, and I met this girl.....and she gave me mine." (long pause, then music starts to play)

Jason: "It's time."

Robin: (takes deep breath) "How do you know?" (she smiles) "You don't have a watch." (she looks up at him)

They kiss, then hold each other.....

Jason & Robin are on the Yale campus. Her back is to him, and he walks up behind her.....

Jason: "So, this is Yale?"

Robin: "It's pretty neat, huh? Don't you just love these old buildings? Just looking at them makes me want to learn."

Jason: "You'd feel that way in a barn."

Robin: (laughs) "I can't help it. Do you realize that four American presidents could have been standing where we're standing now?" (Jason puts his arms around her shoulders) ".....not to mention some ordinary people.....like the guy who invented morse code.....and Paul Newman."

Jason: "Paul who?"

Robin: (pulls away and faces him, laughing) "Nevermind."

Jason: "No, tell me."

Robin: (smiling) "He's an actor."

Jason: "Nice work if you can get it."

Robin: (looks serious) "How can I.....how can I ever say thank you?"

Jason: "For what?"

Robin: I wouldn't be here.....if it wasn't for you Jason."

Jason: "Sure you would."

Robin: I know I applied. But after Stone, everything was on hold. You taught me how to move on with my life."

Jason: You would have worked it out on your own, whether or not I had come along or not."

Robin: "You really have no idea how much you've given me" (smiles) "do you?"

Jason: "I know it's nothing, compared to what you've given me."

Robin: "I hope you mean that. I'd hate to think I was the one who did all the taking."

Jason: "You opened my heart." (music starts to play, as Jason hold Robin) "It's beating now.....probably too fast because of you."

Jason is holding Robin, and there is a close-up of Jason looking sad.....

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Robin is pulling away from Jason. They look at each other for a while, then Robin reaches for Jason's motorcycle helmet.....

Robin: "I guess," (Jason waves his arms) "I guess you should take this."

Jason: "No, you keep it. You can never tell.....when a handsome stranger might pull up next to you on a killer bike and offer you a ride."

Robin: "I'll promise you something. I will never get on the back of another motorcycle.....with a guy.....for as long as I live."

Jason: "It might be selfish, but I'll take that."

Robin: (crying) "I'm going to miss you.....so much."

Jason: (begins to cry. He puts his hand up over his eyes to try to stop the tears) "I'll miss you too."

Robin: "Promise me. Promise me you'll be careful."

Jason: "Only if you promise not to worry about me."

Robin: (smiling through her tears) "Deal." (Robin kisses Jason, and they look at each other. Jason grabs Robin's face, and they kiss. Jason holds her, and they're both crying. He let's go, wipes his tears, and gets on his motorcycle)

Jason: "I love you." (he looks at her, then drives away)

Robin: (watches Jason leave, and looks confused. She whispers) "I love you....."
