Jason is sitting on a bench in the park with the baby in his stroller next to him.
Jason:(talking to the baby) "I like this place because you can see the
whole park. And its in the sun, which is the point. Yeah, this is
about as warm as it gets in winter. So I thought I'd take advantage of
it, and take you out for your first real trip out into the world while
I had the chance."
Jason looks up and Robin is standing there.
Jason: "Hey."
Robin: "Hey." (She starts walking towards the baby and starts talking to
him) "Hi. Look at you all bundled up and cold. You're so cute. Hi." (she laughs then sits down next to Jason) "You have that look on your face."
Jason: "What look?"
Robin: "Like you're mentally scratching your head wondering."
Jason: "Yeah. I guess I don't understand why people do that baby talk
thing."
Robin: "As supposed to treating him like one of the guys?"
Jason: "He's a person."
Robin: "A very small person." (She starts talking to the baby again) "Tell him you're just a baby. You don't like all those boring words. Huh? You like sounds huh? And faces too." (she looks at Jason) "Cause that's how babies learn. See they just
want to have fun. That's why you start them out with a goofy smile, and a rattle. Not a football and a whistle."
Jason: (smiles) "Well he has a rattle sitting next to him. But right now I think he's just fine looking around. He's never been outside."
Robin: "You really lucked out with the weather today. It's really warm for January."
Jason: "That's what I told him."
Robin: "Did you know that this is one of my favortie spots in the park?"
Jason: "It's mine too. Big surprise huh?"
(Robin smiles) "So how's-how's Brenda?"
Robin: "Better I think. She apologized about the way she told me about you the baby and Carly. So she's got a handle on some of it. But she knows she has a ways to go.
Jason: "Yeah. Having you there has to be good........for her."
Robin: "I hope so. In fact I'm moving into the cottage."
Jason: (smiles) "You decided to stay?"
Robin: "I'm dropping out of the program in Paris. I'm coming home."
Jason and Robin smile at each other.

Robin: "I'm not doing it just for Brenda. Living in Paris these past few months were exactly the right thing for me. It was an awesome
experience, and I'll always treasure it. But the second I came home I knew this is were I had to be."
Jason: "What about Yale?"
Robin: "I haven't thought that far ahead. I'm just gonna wait and see."
Jason: "Wow. Well if this is what you really want and it works out for you then I'm glad."
Robin: "Here's my disclaimer. I'm not planning on picking up my old life were I left off. Not that I could if I wanted to. But the
world didn't stand still while I was gone. I have to build myself a new life wherever I am." (pauses) "Ahh. It's getting chilly."
Jason: (leans over to reach the baby) "Yeah. I guess I better get you
home pal."
Jason: (puts a pacifier in the baby's mouth, but he starts to fuss) "What's up? You don't look so happy.
Robin: "Maybe he is cold or wet."
Jason: "I-I think he's hungry." (Jason puts the pacifer back in the baby's mouth)
Robin: "You're getting pretty good at this dad stuff."
Jason: "So far he's made it pretty easy for me."
Robin: I would still love to see you give him a bottle."
Jason: "Whenever you want."
Robin: "Well, I have a little time now."
Jason: "Okay." (Robin smiles) "Leticia. Renaldo. We're going to head back."
Jason: (they stand up and Jason looks at the stroller) "You wanna drive?"
Robin: (smiles) "Sure."
Robin pushes the stroller and Jason follows.
