Phileas: A remark in typical bad taste.

Phileas swings around in his chair and sees how Rebecca is dressed.

Phileas: Good God! Cover yourself up immediately.

Rebecca: Merely adopting local color.

Phileas just looks at her.

Rebecca: Look, if I'm to get to the Sultan's plans for the Black Sea port...

Phileas: Rebecca, you're supposed to be an undercover agent. Not the opposite. (he picks up his coffee cup) Take those things off at once.

Rebecca: Oh, all right.

Phileas: Not here!

Act 2:

SFC

As Krasnov is showing Mariana out, Passepartout takes his sword out and lays it in the crook of his arm, sweeping his other hand down as tho it were a woman in his arms. Krasnov and Mariana look at him, and she leaves as Krasnov shakes his head.

Cut to arial view of countryside.

Rebecca: Beautiful, isn't it? It's a shame the Serbian army is going to turn Montravia into a wasteland.

Phileas: Don't forget Rebecca, it was the Montravians who kidnapped my valet.

Jules: Even if they decided to take him as their king, surely they must have realized their mistake by now.

Rebecca: Well, they may decide to keep him anyway. Say the Serbs are trying to assassinate King Carl before he can sign the treaty with Hungary. They may think it's useful to have an extra target. One that's expendable.

Off Phileas' look, it joins the CBC with Passepartout holding court.

Lawyer 2: Your Majesty, the Count is entitled to as much water as he wants, according to the amendment signed by King Carolineas in 1306.

Krasnov: Fogg.

Phileas looks at Krasnov, Passepartout and Rebecca. The latter makes a shooing motion for Phileas to go to Passepartout. With a resigned look, he complies and takes up the train of Passepartout's robe. Jules can't contain a quiet laugh. They proceed out of the room, Passepartout in the lead, Phileas carrying the train, then Krasnov. Rebecca and Jules fall in behind them.
