The Blessing Way


Originally airing on September 22, 1995 the episode, "The Blessing Way" is the first episode of the third season.

While Mulder lies somewhere between life and death as his spirit undergoes a Navajo healing ceremony conducted by Albert Hosteen. During this he is visited by the spirits of his father and Deep Throat. Meanwhile, Scully finds herself pitted against her superiors as the search for the MJ documents intensifies. Later, she is warned my the Well-Manicured Man that her life is in danger. Krycek assassinates her sister, Melissa, by mistake whn he breaks into Scully's apartment. At the same time, Skinner has obtained the DAT copy of the files and comes to Scully with it. However, she believes that he is the one who will attempt to kill her, and it ends in a standoff between the two.
