"Plenty of cigarette smoke but no fire. Ho hum larvae yawn into action in this flesh boring smokeathon. X-files like any other show loses it's skin after awhile leaving it but a gaping maw of it's former self, but television history will look mostly at the few classics the X-Files produced this season and be happy. The last season of Twilight Zone was pretty bad too, but history remembers the enduring classics it produced in it's waning days...and I will conduct reconstructive surgery when the episodes come out on DVD...Twilight Zone did eventually end though. Hopefully the producers of the X-Files will stop at this seasons end before they make too many episodes like this and their show becomes a corpse with an all too open wound. Scully..hand me the scalpel please..."

"Fine episode, reminisce of 5th and 6th season goodies. Deeply flawed ending. "Ooooo, this packet of cigarettes is dangerous." No, what should have happened should have happened when Mulder was still in the hospital. Scully comes to his room and Mulder is wired (more so than usual), she asks how he's feeling, he says terrible, she goes into some long Scully tirade about the medical intricacy's of his condition and finishes with sticking the patch on his forehead and telling him its a side affect from being pumped full of nicotine. Much lighter ending to a dark episode, we need some humor, we havn't seen too much this season."
