Kill Switch

On Sunday, February 15, 1998 the episode, "Kill Switch", aired. This episode is the eleventh episode of the fifth season.

"Kill Switch" was beautifully written by science fiction writer and computer genius William Gibson. The effects were also great, by producing an riveting image of an arm-less Agent Mulder. Another fantastic scene was the fight sequence between Scully and the nurses. In my opinion, the background of the plot deals with a love story. This story being between Esther and David, and Scully and Mulder. This is best shown in one of the final scenes taking place in the trailer. The saddness and despair on Esther's face when her and Scully find David dead, and then the shift of emotion onto Scully as she sees her beloved partner. The look on her face is priceless. Her facial expression shows how much she truly loves Mulder. As Chris Carter said, "Scully loves Mulder, and Mulder loves Scully. It just is not a physical, sexual love."

Esther: "Are you going to take off these cuffs, or do I have to do this with my tongue?"
Mulder: "You don't want to take a vote."

Scully: "Why didn't it just zap him, too?"
Esther: "It's creator? No, it needed to impress Donald. Particle beam would've been overkill."
Scully: "Unlike a dozen crack dealers?"
Esther: "No, you see, that's its sense of humor."

Esther pointing gun at Scully: "Buenos dias, muchacha."

Mulder: "Scully?"
Scully: "Yep."
Mulder: "I found something down in Fairfax County. A derelict chicken farm with a T3 connection. Paid for by Aleph Industries Palo Alto, of which there is no other record anywhere."
Scully: "Dandy."
Mulder: "Where are you? It sounds like you're driving."
Scully: "You are correct, sir."
Mulder: "Do you have Esther with you?"
Scully: "In a manner of speaking."
