"Not merely a rehash, this continuation of the " Pusher " story, incorporates Modell's sister, an icy female pusher.(... and I thought my sister was pushy ) When I saw her, it was as if my heart stopped beating...being that she is portrayed by an interestingly attractive actress. 'The X-Files' often incorporates women in the casting of their roles who, like Scully, are not the generic dumb ass idea of what the quote, unquote average television viewing male ( whoever that's supposed to be ) or t.v. exec for that matter, finds attractive, but are much more interesting, as well as mind expanding, in the left field, imaginatively erotic connotations that they, very cooly, if not so slightly, convey. Thank you Chris Carter for standing up for Gillian Anderson when "the largely artistically insipid powers that be" wanted, just another generic boring bimbo. How much poorer the television world, the artistic world, would be without Anderson's portayal of Scully. Besides being the best actress on television at the moment, Ms. Anderson conveys more pure sexual attractiveness in her uniquely original face and intelligent innate elegance than 2 million bimbos stacked back to back. This episode really plays on the inability to trust one's own senses, and does so to a great effect, especially in the harrowing ending sequence, which is just as gripping as the ending to the first Pusher episode, in a very "The Deer Hunter" russian roulette way, where Mulder, in a masterful scene, is forced to believe Scully has shot herself in the head. It's liberating to see a primary television character shoot herself in the head, even if it is merely a hallucinatory repreive from t.v. invincibility."

"Kitsunegari was a pretty good episode filled with neat plot twists and the freaky return of Robert Patrick Modell...who died... again... and who had a twin who could also push people... and he tried to help Mulder!? Sorry... the little 'take over Mulder's mind again' thing was really spooky, but I was rather disappointed. After seeing the previews for this episode, I thought that there was going to be some sort of mental battle between Mulder and Modell. The scariest part of the episode for me: When it looked like Scully shot herself, and Mulder is pointing the gun at Linda who was, in reality, Scully. That scene was very believable, thanks to Anderson and Duchovny, and, overall, Duchovny did an excellent job in the episode. There were a few chords that bugged me, but the majority of the music by Mark Snow was, as usual, remarkable. Vince Gilligan and his partner (sorry, I didn't catch the name) did a wonderful job on the writing, but I was kinda disappointed that 'Kitsunegari' didn't have the same shippy flare that Pusher had. Oh well, I should be happy to have gotten my shippy fix at the beginning of the season ('Redux I&II', 'Detour', and 'Post-Modern Prometheus') Just one line in this episode was kinda annoying: the part where Scully is examining that prosecuter who had died, and she opens his mouth to find paint spilling out. She says "It appears as if he died from paint inhalation" or something like that. Did anyone else want to scream out "Duh!" ? Overall, I gave this episode a nine because even though it was pretty good, and the acting was wonderful, it was no where near matching the episode that came before it, Pusher. At least that's my opinion."

"This episode would have gotten a better score if it hadn't tried to be like Pusher. Granted, the same character was featured, but the episodde itself wasn't that great in my opinion execpt fot the last part when Mulder again points his weapon at Scully. Now, for the record I would like to say that twins in X-Files, may they be genetic mutants, or fraturnal, are always evil. FOR THE RECORD, not all twins are evil, I know, I am one, and I wish X-Files would realise that. Okay, back on track, the first Scully that Mulder saw shoot herself, he picked up her gun to point it at the real Scully, now if the first Scully was in fact his imagination, why was he able to point her fake gun at the realy Scully? Maybe the blonde twin planted it there, I don't know. And how did the real Scully get there? Who called and told her this was all going down? Another thing that bugged me was how Mulder and Scully interacted. They weren't getting along at all, and I thought after the last episode with Pusher, Scully would listen to him more. She's listened to some of his crazier theories without batting an eyelid, and as soon as he said that the blonde could maybe control people also, she says no Mulder, go home, your mind isn't yours. Now under normal circumstances (and these were normal for X-Files) she would have said I'll check that out and find that Modell did in fact have a twin. All in all though I liked it, it's not one of favorites, but it was okay."

"'Foxhunt,' eh? Well, I was kind of disappointed in this episode. I thought it was badly written. I didn't like Scully's and Skinner's attitude towards Mulder, how they were convinced he wasn't thinking right and wouldn't listen to him. The end was odd but cute, when Mulder had thought Scully shot herself. But it was over too quickly. One thing I loved about Pusher was that the end scene was really dragged out, which made it more suspenseful and exciting. I guess I was hoping this would be just like Pusher. Here are some thoughts: 1. Cerulean Blue paint was a nice touch. The brand was "Gulf Breeze," too. "Cerulean blue is like a gentle breeze..." 2. It was cool how Modell went into a sports store since there is a real sports store chain called Modell's... 3. So now the Carbo-Boost brand makes energy bars! I wonder if they come in flavors like Bananaberry Pineapple Paradise."

"I really liked this episode. No, it didn't fare as well as the original "Pusher", but how do you try to top one of the best episodes in the series' history? I could ramble on about the whole episode, but I'll leave that to everyone else. I just want to say that the best scene was definitely the climax. I am still disturbed by seeing the image of Scully lying in a pool of her own blood. It was a really good episode, one more to add to the string of winners from this season."

"What a great character to bring back again! "Pusher" was a great episode and this one was even better. I found myself actually feeling sympathy for Pusher even after the crimes he commited before. I thought that they did a great job giving Pusher depth."
