"I only gave it a one because I wasn't sure if a zero was allowed. My review should end right there, it doesn't even deserve my time, but I'm good and angry and I want to spout off at something, so here goes. X-Files did not become popular because of sex appeal. Okay, well in some aspects it did, the characters are attractive, that's about it though, if I wanted to watch a lot of bad sex and listen to pornographic descriptions and watch bad shots of women in reveling lingerie, then I'd watch Melrose Place. This was a bad shot at rasing the ratings with the old pitch of sex. A show's doing bad? Well hell, just stick in some sex, it'll pick the show right up. This episode was not only disgusting, but degrading to X-Files, and Scully herself. Now, it took these people six years to create Scully as a strong, level headed woman who isn't going to respond to some prepubescent kid with a half baked rat on his face who is obviously following her and obsessing over her. She's an FBI agent for God's sake, doesn't she read about stalkers?!?!? Okay, to show Scully like this in this sort of light might arouse some people, but it was a cheap shot to pull on TV. I can't believe I sat through that. I'm not even going to get into the whole "oh she already loves someone else" crap. The show is going to end next season, why start pissing off the viewers now? Granted we non-shippers are probably the minority but since when did CC start to conform? This episode was a stupid move. While the idea could have been intriguing, it fell down into the slums of some third rate porno movie masquerading as an episode. Also, there's only so much of the "Scully is the brilliant agent and Mulder's along for show" kind of plot line. It's obvious who the fair haired child in this duo is. I want to see Mulder come to his full potential. I've had enough of Scully, yes, she's a role model (not after this episode) yes, she's intelligent, yes, she's intuitive, but what's Mulder around for!?!?!? A witticism here and there? That whole "irate character takes over" crap was sadly....sad. I wasn't even paying attention when he was plotting with his creation. Can we say Frankenstein? And ooo, what a guy, he saved Scully for love, so she could go on loving Mulder, isn't that sweet? That's not what I've come to expect from X-Files. I can't say how disappointed I am. Lastly, that crying jag in the end was an over exaggeration. Some may say, well gee what would you do if your heart was ripped out? I'd say something like, well this isn't me we're talking about, this is Scully who's almost had her liver torn out, had her ovaries removed, had a daughter die, gotten shot four times (this is an unofficial count) and had countless family members, friends, students, whatever, die without batting an eye. That little hugging thing in the end was completely miss-placed, it was there only to give the shippers something to ooo and awwww over. Well, I will ooo and awww over puppies and kittens, but not over X-Files. Lastly, the word Milagro is not Spanish, its Tagalog, I spent a whole Saturday trying to find a translation. This episode sucked, that's all I can say."

"This X-Files episode was an eloquent, masterpiece. During this episode, I found myself craving a good piece of literature to sink into. It all started so simply, a typical X-Files episode. Then, the author began to weave his web of truth, so powerful and well-spoken, (i.e., describing Scully as "stunningly prepossessing"). His insight was incredulous, it gave me the chills. For a few rare moments, I was enraptured with his almost flawless clarity into Scully's psyche until he approached her and began to recite his knowledge and interest in her in intimate detail. Obviously, Padgett has very poor interpersonal skills. Did the writers of this episode create a shell of who Scully could be, in order to make us think Padgett's theories of her were true? Or is this the real Scully? Are the agents behaviors
actually predictable, or have we been tricked into thinking that Padgett is a master profiler? What a beautifully written episode, I'd love to be exposed to more of this veracious prose and emotional fortitude."

"This is probably my least favorite of all of the X-Files I have seen so far. The writer and his dreamed up character which manifests itself in reality were both boring. The fact that the episode focused around Scully's relationship along with this voice over narration made the episode seem like an episode of "Red Shoe Diaries," like one of those ridculous soft porn late night pieces only without the sex. The transormation into a soap opera is complete in this episode, and a soap opera is not what I want when I watch the X-Files. The fact that Scully falls for a creepy guy who could have been involved in murders where peoples hearts get ripped out and even worse through blind infatuation attempts to cover for him makes this episode's portrayal of Scully totally horrible in my opinion."
