"Although X-Files gets some of its best episodes by taking an already used plot and spicing it up, this was not one of them. The Matrix-like effects were interesting, but they were just that. Matrix-like. It didn't seem to fit with the plot. Speaking of the plot, how often do we see a person and/or monster with an addiction? If you said every other episode boys and girls, you would be correct. Wasn't Hungry almost exactly like that? A teenager (yes I know Rob wasn't a real teenager, but for all intents and purposes) with an addiction. And on this teenager theme...I know I'm kicking a dead horse with this, but there has been way to much violence from teenagers on TV (and sadly, real life). The personalities that they exhibited; the boy killing his teacher and his father, way too much like recent headlines. I've always thought that although X-Files is a violent show, the violence comes from monsters, or mutants. This fact is what makes the show safer than anything like Buffy or 90210. Those were my major thoughts, now my one minor is Mulder and Scully feeling their oats. Sort of funny, but also sort of...I can't think of a word here, childish? Anyway, I digress, could have been better. Oh yeah, and I'd like to see a teenager out there who actually uses the phrase "Betty." If the writers think this is what is being said out there in the world of teenagers then they need to take some investigating lessons from Mulder and Scully."

"Excellent special effects in this episode, the concept was nice and strange but the story was average. It's nice to see horror in any form on television however since it only creeps up in the rare show here and there. It's too bad the kid had to use his powers to kill authority figures, he would have been in demand in any kind of office...can you imagine how many words per minute he could type. He could file a large batch of paperwork in a second. He's any employers dream. In fact, he's so fast he could work for 10 employers at once and receive ten paychecks in the mail...oh well. I guess the moral of the story is..walk the straight and narrow even when you walk faster than the rest of us or you'll wind up with a bullet going through you in slow motion."

"Best one this season, but it still doesn't beat Triangle in my book."
