"What evil throat lozenge got stuck in the collective airducts of X-Files producers only Beelzebub could tell, but this paean to demonic bad breath (satanic halo-tosis?) could not find salvation from the 9th level of the boring snail inferno even with the guest appearance of the skull blending and grinding Bruce Campbell. Campbell is well known to horror fans as the rubbery thespian who starred in the energetic Evil Dead trilogy, and energy is something which has been exorcised here. Duchovny plays Mulder as if he is half asleep throughout the entire episode. It is as if Mulder, zombified from an overdose of Xanax couldn't care less what is going on, and by the end of this episode I couldn't care less as well. A complete bore, encroaching average television badness which should have been "Rosemary's Abortion." X-Files creators! Repent! But wait...what's with next weeks episode playing on the Mulder and Scully romance thing again, have I not had enough of that crap? Writers! Repent! For a television agnostic I've become quite the zealot! "

"My God! It's an X-File! It's so nice to immerse myself in a good ol' classic X-File. To be able again to go back to seeing an interesting story through the eyes of a skeptic and a believer. Obviously, it had its flaws, and it wasn't perfect. But its been so long that I was thrilled at the prospect of watching them work their magic with weird cases. The main problems were that they should have explained in more detail what the second wife's intentions were along with how she got all his real babies. And I think the ending was pretty abrupt and needed to be tied up better. Although I do think that Bruce Cambell acted very well, both with his interactions with his wives and Mulder. His portrayal of a demon was pretty straight forward, nothing fancy. But memorable. And I enjoyed seeing Mulder back in his element once again, even if he had to go rooting through the garbage to get it. But like I said, its great to be back in the X-Files."

"I enjoyed this episode, especially because Bruce Campbell ('Evil Dead' movies) had a significant part in it. I didn't see the ending coming up like that at all, but I completely agree that women are more evil than men! I loved the reference to spreading one's seed as "exercising his biological imperative." Also, Mulder was convinced that Wayne (Devil Boy) was in fact the devil himself, or at least a hellspawn, yet remained cavalier and flippant towards him; his usual mode of being a staunch harbinger of boundless audacity."

"I think "Terms of Endearment" was the worst episode of season 6 so far. It wasn't terrible - in fact it was about time we had a normal, spooky, weird X-File. Season six hasn't yet had the same grossness and scariness factors as the other seasons. However, that's fine with me - I prefer the shippy, humorous episodes which have made up most of this season."

"That was just bad. First clunker of the year, in my opinion. It had its moments. Scully interviewing the "potential federal employee" and Mulder following Wayne among them. But other than that... nah. Although I would like to know what that song was on the car radio."

"This was especially weird and kind of scary. It seemed more like one of the earlier episodes and didn't quite fit with the new style the show has taken on recently, but that was one reason why I liked it a lot."
