Below, are a few memorable quotes from the episode and the ratings submitted by XFEOS members. They are followed with the intriging and spectacular comments and opinions on "Tunguska".
Mulder: "You're full of crap, Krycek. You're an invertebrate scum-sucker, whose moral dip stick is about two drops short from bone dry."
Krycek: "You can't bring these men to justice!"
Krycek: "There's no truth. These men, they just make it up as they go along."
Scully: "What I'm worried about is you, Mulder. How far you'll go [for the truth], and how far I can follow you."
Unblonde: "I can help you Agent Mulder."
Mulder to Krycek: "I'm leaving the window rolled down. If I'm not back in a week, I'll call Agent Scully to come bring you a bowl of water."
Mulder: "To find my cell phone?"

"It is time for people to vent their frustrations on Krycek and turn him into a human punching bag. Bash. Bash. Bash. Hey Krycek! Bash! Shifty guy that Krycek, must admit though, he is a survivor. Great acting by Nicholas Lea in the scene where Krycek tells Mulder about the "they" who are above the law and make the truth. This is one of those great "government paranoia" episodes that makes you feel like your just a pawn in a big dark game that you know nothing about. I keep thinking that William B. Davis is going to step out of the t.v. screen and say, "You know nothing. If you only knew what was really going on....". Everyone seems to be sweating in this episode, the focus being a small martian rock with some slimy critters on it. Excellent special effects make these critters (slimy space worms?) come to life. The scenes with these creatures crawling just beneath the surface of people's faces lingered in my mind long after the episode was over. People are being infested with these things, the Russians are up to something, as well, as the American government. What is going on here? Who cares? Let's all wallow in the paranoia."

"Tunguska was just really fun, although I must admit I prefer the lovable Mulder to the lets beat up Krycek and then go on adventures without Scully Mulder. Krycek's return was wonderful, and I must admit, I was starting to feel sorry for him (although the stupid haircut line was hilarious!) Still, it was good to see Krycek getting what he deserved, and the fact that he could speak Russian? Must have been hard for Nick Lea to learn, but it worked well. The Marita/Mulder scene. ARGH, I personally will die if a Mulder/Marita relationship ever takes place. Especially seeing that Marita is connected to the CSM. Personally, I think she's working with Krycek, but hey, you never know. Overall, a wonderful episode filled with really awesome dialoge!"

"Hooray!!! Ratboy is back!!! This episode is a classic two parter. I love the ending when we leave Mulder infested with the cancer. The effect of the black worms crawling everywhere is very nice. I do wish Scully were in this one more though. I love all the horses. Someone must have trained them well to go down those steep hills and not toss there riders over their heads. What is it with X-Files and Cockroaches? They seem bent on making sure everyone on the show eats one."

"KIM MANNERS IS GOD. This episode was just about perfect from beginning to end. Excellent cinematography -- especially the opening sequence of the shootout with the militia men. Nitpicking: CSM inquiring about the "pouch" with a heavy Canadian accent."
-Danielle B.-
"I loved the way that Mulder and Scully were so close although they were so far away. Scully was doing her best to defend Mulder and Skinner, Scully, and Mulder were really working together. And Ratboy is back in the picture."
-Lisa K.-
"I find this to be a very moving episode and one of the best I've seen. Excellent emotional scenes and an interesting, original plot."
-Jennifer S.-
"Great episode!!! I loved the part where Mulder and Scully were dressed in combat gear and also when Skinner punches Krychek."
-Danny R.-
"I think that was a really great episode, it left you hanging (but which episode doesn't)."
-Eric R.-
"It's just not as good without Scully by his side."
-Maria D.-
"That was a really cool episode!"
-Jamie C.-
"It was quite awesome."
