When Kathleen Robertson landed a part on Beverly Hills 90210 three years
ago, she had no idea the five episode stint playing bookish bad girl Clare
Arnold would last so long. Now Robertson, 23, once a child star in her
native Canada, has a leading role in Gregg Araki's feature film Nowhere,
as the sort of teen who would, like, totally freak out Clare Arnold. "I
play a girl named Lucifer," says Robertson."She's a lesbian, she has bright
purple hair, and she's kind of raunchy." Plus, her threads are more Goodwill
the Gucci, something the actress, a vintage shop-aholic, can appreciate.
"I wore all my own clothes," Robertson says, describing her character's
look as "superstylized and over the top." As for Lucifer's do: "It was
really nice. I'd just walk in and plop the wig on." Robertson doesn't like
doing her makeup, either, though she's religious about wearing sunscreen.
"I'm beyond white," she explains, adding that her convertible my have been
a mistake. "If I put the top down, I start to burn in about five minutes."
Then again, you might say she's already sizzling.
