Pierce Brosnan near his House

Pierce Brosnan's living room is in the Pacific Ocean after one too many rainy
days in Malibu. On Thursday, part of the his ranch finally slid
down a cliff after the torrential rains which have been pounding the area weakened
its supports. Brosnan knew what he was getting into when he bought the place
several years ago - Malibu purchasers must sign a disclaimer which reads, "Buyer is
aware Malibu is an area subject to certain natural hazards including, but not limited
to, fire, flooding, road closures, landslides and high wave action on the beach."
Sources also told PAGE SIX's Jared Paul Stern that Brosnan is renting a still-stable
beach house that used to belong to Ted Danson until his ranch is fixed. Brosnan's
rep, Dick Gutman, denied the disaster report, saying "It couldn't possibly be true."
The "Tomorrow Never Dies" star also owns a $400,000 beach house down the
road from the ranch which he bought last August for Keely Shaye-Smith, the
mother of his 14-month old son Dylan. That house is fine. At least two other houses
belonging to non-famous residents on Broad Beach have been washed into the
ocean as well, and the town's coffers are nearly empty from the cost of all the
repairs that've been made. This has been the area's worst storm since the winter of
'78, when Barbra Streisand and Dyan Cannon's houses were wrecked. President
Clinton, who carried California in both elections, declared Malibu and 26
neighboring counties disaster areas.
