      Short Bio

Little Pierce was born on 16 May, 1953 - exactly nine months to the day after his parents tied the knot - at Lourder Maternity Hospital, Drogheda. He was born in a little town of Navan, County Meath. The town actually lies less than 30 miles north of Dublin. His father Tom left his mother May when he was only one-year-old. Following the break-up, Tom quit his job in Navan and left for England. When Pierce was four-years-old his mother went to England and left Pierce with his grandparents. He was abandoned by both his parents. After some time his grandparents died. Then Pierce lived with May's great-aunt, Eileen Reilly. He went to a Scoil Mhuire Catholic Boys' School. When he was eleven-years-old he went to England to live with his mother. It was 12 August, 1964 - the very same day Bond's creator, Ian Fleming, died. Then he lived in Putney, the well - heeled suburb in south-west London on the banks of the Themes. Then he started to go to Elliot School. It was divided into four 'houses' and Pierce was in Norman House. His first girlfriend was Carole Bevans. He left the school in 1969. After leaving Elliot School, Pierce found work as a trainee commercial artist at a photographic studio off Lacy Road. One morning he went to a theatre club, the Oval House. Then he started to acting workshops every night. The theatre became a 'second home'. Soon, Pierce left the Oval House to enrol as a full-time student at the Drama Centre. It happened in 1973. There he met Rebecca McKenzie, later she was his girlfriend. But the woman whom Pierce had 'fallen madly in love' with was Cassandra Harris. The couple first met at a party in the summer of 1978. Pierce and Cassie moved in together just months after they met. Pierce became stepfather to the two children: Charlotte and Christopher. After some time the couple had decided to marry. The marriage took place at King's Road registry office, Chelsea, on 27 December, 1980. In 1982 they flew to Los Angeles, America. Then he started to act in 'Remington Steele'. In 1983 his and Cassie's own child was born and christened Sean William. In 1987 Cassie was diagnosed as suffering from ovarian cancer. At 10.20 a.m. on 28 December, 1991, Cassie died in Pierce's arms. She was cremated. So, then Pierce became to be alone again. He was a star with free children. After that he had some girlfriends but in late 1994 Pierce met Keely Shaye-Smith. In 1995 he got a license to kill because he played James Bond in a movie which was called 'GoldenEye'. He started to be a superstar. On 13 January, 1997, his girlfriend Keely gave birth to a healthy nine-pound baby boy. He was christened Dylan Thomas. In 1997 Pierce played second James Bond movie 'Tomorrow Never Dies'. Now, as Pierce says he is happy.
