The Greeley
family is scrambling to keep secrets, but Lily Greeley McAllister is looking
for answers after a drifter named Phil Parker kills himself in the family's
Pasadena estate.
Lily is
home alone (well, almost - her little brother is upstairs with headdphones
on) when a vagrant intruder enters the house and kills himself in the living
room. Lily's parents return home from a black-tie affair, and the cover-up
begins.
Lily's
uncle Robert steps in to handle a blonde problem that has come between
her icily genial parents, Will and Catherine.
Nate, Catherine's
younger brother, resorts to theft after his trust fund is frozen.
Episode 2: The Rat

Lily and
Henry continue to investigate Phillip Parker's suicide. Lily learns about
a connection between her mother and Phillip. Henry smells a rat after Catherine
tells Lily a tale about Phillip Parker.
George

an unlikely replacement to take over The Sun.
Robert
takes drastic action to scare Nate straight.
Beth begins
to explore her spiritual horizons after uncovering her new lover's Jewish
roots. Beth's choice of a boyfriend angers Lillian.
The McAllisters
deal
with an unwanted houseguest.

the mysteries of her family, with the help of school mate Henry Bellow,
who doesn't mince words when he informs her the Greeleys are "the WASP
