IAN MARKHAM-SMITH Film star Michelle Yeoh Choo-kheng has been offered a massive pay rise for her next movie.
The 34-year-old kung fu femme fatale, currently playing 007 heartthrob Pierce Brosnan's sidekick in Tomorrow Never Dies, has been offered US$1 million (HK$7.74 million) by Universal Studios to star opposite Martin Lawrence in the action comedy Confucius Brown.
The former Miss Malaysia and star of more than a dozen Hong Kong-made action movies is set to become Hollywood's next sexy female star.
Hollywood will present her at Christmas as the new incarnation of the Bond woman - not just decorative but dangerous and daring.
Yeoh gained her Hollywood fan club, including top directors Oliver Stone and Quentin Tarantino, when she appeared with Jackie Chan in Police Story III: Super Cop.
