SCENE I
Angel Grove Park: Carlos and Ashley are sitting at a picnic table having lunch. T.J. and Andros are on the cliff overlooking the lake...

T.J.: This is Angel Grove Lake.
Andros: We have lakes on KO-35, too.
T.J.: Let me finish! It is here that evil space pirate Divatox, in her SubCraft, landed last March (1997).
Andros: Sounds interesting...

Camera cuts from a rear view of T.J. and Andros to Cassie and her dog, Jetson, who are playing frisbee. Camera follows the frisbee as Cassie throws it over Jetson's head, and knocks over Ashley's glass of punch!

Ashley: Hey!
Cassie (comes running): Oops! Sorry about that!
Carlos: It's O.K. Here, let me pour you another glass.
Ashley: Thank you, Carlos. It's gratifying to know that somebody around here has manners!

Just then, we see Jetson jump onto the table and start eating Carlos's salad!

Cassie: Jetson! Get down off of the table!
Jetson: Woof!
Carlos: You should always be nice to animals, Cassie. (turns to Jetson) Get down off of the table, Jetson!

Jetson jumps down off of the table and lays down by a tree.

Ashley: That was amazing!
Cassie: How did you do that?
Carlos: Call it a gift.

T.J. and Andros walk in from camera right...

T.J.: What's going on?
Cassie: Carlos has a knack for talking to dogs.
Andros: That's interesting.
T.J.: Andros, what exactly are you doing?
Andros: I'm recording Earth life for a study I'm doing on KO-35.
Ashley: We're going to be famous?
Cassie: We'll be the subjects of a world-renown book?
Andros: That's right!
Carlos: I'm all for it!
T.J.: Cool!

SCENE II
Astronema's ship: We see Astronema looking through Divatox's periscope which she bought at a garage sale for 25¢ (an obvious mis-mark by Elgar, but that's another story) at the Rangers in the park.

Astronema: So, that Carlos thinks he's something with the dogs, does he? We'll see about that... when he becomes one! ECLIPTOR!
Ecliptor: You called, my Queen?
Astronema: Take this potion (grabs a bottle with a dog's picture on it and hands it to Ecliptor) and put a few drops in Carlos's drink.
Ecliptor: It shall be done, my Queen.

Ecliptor teleports to Angel Grove Park.

Astronema: When Carlos drinks my potion, he shall become a cuddly little puppy! Hmmm... maybe I should have used this one with the dog and the person on front. (Picks up the bottle) It says here that this potion will allow the user to make the victim transform from a human being to a dog (and vice-versa) with only one word. (Throws the bottle out the window) Oh, well. Too late now!

SCENE III
Angel Grove Park: Ecliptor, who can't be seen at this moment, puts 3 drops of the potion into Carlos's glass. He then teleports back to Astronema's ship. Camera follows Ecliptor back into Astronema's control room.

Ecliptor: Hi, honey, I'm home!
Astronema: Don't say that! Did you spike Carlos's punch?
Ecliptor: I certainly did, your evilness.
Astronema: Excellent. When the other Rangers see what's happened to Carlos, there will be nothing standing between me and taking over the universe! Ha ha ha ha haaaa!

Camera cuts to Carlos, who is at the picnic table about to take a drink...

Carlos: Man, am I parched! I sure could go for a drink right about now!

Carlos picks up the glass and takes a sip. After a few seconds, he falls down, and starts to morph into a six-month old German Shepherd mix puppy (mostly black with accents of gold and white).

Camera cuts to a 4-shot of Ashley, Cassie, T.J., and Andros...

Ashley: Carlos!
Cassie: What's happened to him?
T.J.: It looks like he's a dog now!
Andros: This is one for the book! (takes out a tape recorder) Note: Carlos drinks punch and turns into dog.
T.J.: Andros! Give the book a rest!
Ashley: Carlos's life is at stake!
Andros (speaking into wrist communicator): DECA, teleport tape player back to the Astro Megaship.
DECA (voice over communicator): Teleporting now.

The tape player, in Andros's hand, is teleported in a white beam off screen.

Carlos (dog): Woof, woof!
Ashley: What do we do now?

Carlos (dog) jumps onto Ashley's legs, nearly knocking her down.

Ashley: Whoo! Down, boy!
Cassie: At least he's friendly!

Carlos (dog) is giving Ashley 'doggy-kisses' on her face!

Ashley: Oof! Very funny, Cassie.
T.J.: I think we should get him back to the Astro Megaship, and let DECA and Alpha look him over.
Andros: I don't allow dogs in my Astro Megaship!
Cassie: Can't you break your own rule... just this once?
Andros: NO!
DECA (over communicator): Don't make me turn you into a giant lizard!
Andros (into communicator): O.K., DECA. (looks at the others) Let's go.
Carlos (dog): Woof!
Andros: DECA, teleport us to the Astro Megaship.
DECA (over communicator): Teleporting, now.

Ashley picks up Carlos (dog) and holds him in her arms. The four Rangers and dog teleport in their corresponding beams (Andros: red; Cassie: pink; Ashley: yellow; Carlos (dog): black; and T.J.: blue.)

SCENE IV
Astronema's ship...

Astronema: Wait a minute! The potion was supposed to turn him into a killer beast, not some gentle, cuddly puppy... wasn't it?
Ecliptor: (pulls out bottle and looks at it) Nope! It says right here, "Guaranteed to turn victim into a cuddly puppy, NOT a vicious killer dog."
Astronema: RATS!

SCENE V
Inside the Astro Megaship: Ashley places Carlos (dog) on an examining table...

Andros: DECA, begin the examination of Carlos.
DECA: Examination beginning, now.

We see Carlos (dog) sitting on the table, as a series of computer-generated "lasers" go around the top of the dome, "examining" Carlos (dog).

DECA: Examination finished.
Andros: And...?
DECA: He's a dog.
Ashley: We knew that already!
Andros: Calm down, Ashley! (looks at red "eye" on wall) DECA, what else did you find?
DECA: It seems that a potion is to blame for this dilemma.
Cassie: Thank goodness!
Ashley: I'm glad that it was only the potion and not the punch.
Carlos (dog): Woof!
Alpha-6: Is there any way to cure Carlos?
DECA: There is an antidote. I'm posting the formula on the Viewing Screen now.

Camera cuts to the Viewing Screen, where the formula is displayed...

1/2 gallon 2% Milk
1 dozen Eggs
1 box Duncan Hines Cake mix
36 oz. Moist & Meaty Dog Food
1 Hair Dryer
20 Dryer Sheets

• Mix all ingredients, and then throw away.
• Say "Dog be gone, (name) here to stay!" 3 times.
• Throw a welcome-back party for your long-lost friend!

Ashley: That first part sounds disgusting!
Cassie: Why bother putting all those ingredients together, when all we have to do is say that quote in Step 2?
Andros: It's part of the formula, so I guess we have to do it!
Alpha-6: You guys have to do the first step because the scent of that garbage helps in bringing the person back out of the dog!
T.J.: If you say so.
Carlos (dog): Woof! Woof! (starts running around)
Andros: What does he want?
Ashley: I think he has to go "outside"!
Cassie: Well, take him!
Ashley: We have to... oh, never mind!
Andros: DECA, give Ashley a leash for Carlos.
DECA: Here you go!

Suddenly, a black dog leash appears in Ashley's hand.

Ashley: Come here, Carlos!

Carlos (dog) comes running towards her.

Ashley: (in a baby voice) Puppy-wuppy wanna go for a walkie? Yes, you do!

She attaches the leash to Carlos's black collar.

Andros: DECA, teleport Ashley and Carlos to Angel Grove Park.
DECA: Teleporting, now.

Ashley and Carlos (dog) teleport to Angel Grove Park.

SCENE VI
Angel Grove Park: Ashley is walking Carlos (dog) through the park, when Bulk and Skull happen to overhear what she is saying...

Ashley (to Carlos (dog), both offscreen): Come on, Carlos! The sooner you get done here, the sooner we can finish what we started!
Bulk (looks at Skull, who looks at him): Did you hear that, Skull?
Skull: Of course I did! I'm right next to you!
Bulk: It sounds like Ashley is making Carlos hurry, so they can finish something!
Skull: Huh?

Bulk and Skull look at each other.

Bulk: Let's devise a plan to figure this puzzle out.
Skull: How about a plan that works?

Camera cuts to a follow shot heading towards Bulk and Skull, who are looking down.

Bulk: Now, we're here. (draws an X on the ground, indicating where they are) We round this corner over to here...
Ashley: HI, BULK!
Bulk and Skull: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!
Ashley: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!
Bulk: Don't... do... that.... again!
Ashley: I'm sorry. Do you guys want to see my puppy, Carlos?
Bulk: Your... puppy?
Skull: Named... Carlos?
Ashley: Yeah... I decided to... name him after my best friend.
Skull: Look, Bulk! Isn't that a cute little puppy!
Bulk: Come on, Skullovich! (grabs Skull by the coat) Let's go and do something.
Skull: (in a baby voice) Bye-bye, puppy-wuppy!

Bulk and Skull exit.

Ashley: Now that they're gone, do your business, Carlos!

Carlos (dog) runs off screen...

Ashley: Hurry up, Carlos! I don't have all day!

Carlos (dog) runs back on screen., and jumps into Ashley's arms...

Ashley: Uhhh! That's a good puppy! (into Communicator) Alpha, teleport us back now.
Alpha-6: Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi! Teleporting now!

Ashley and Carlos (dog) turn into their corresponding beams and teleport back to the Megaship.

SCENE VII
Astronema's ship: Astronema is getting more frustrated by the minute!

Ecliptor: You're starting to steam, my Queen.
Astronema: SHUT UP!
Ecliptor: Do you want me to go to Angel Grove and harass the citizens?
Astronema: That's a good idea! And then, when the Rangers defeat you, you can come back up here crying about how you want a second chance. I'll say something along the lines of "yes," and you'll go down there again and be defeated again and...
Ecliptor: Alright already! I get the message! You don't have to rub it in!
Astronema: You know, for such an ugly-looking monster, you sure are a coward!
Ecliptor: (whining) I am not!
Astronema: You're a whiner, too. O.K., you can go to Earth, but be careful! I'm running out of cash, and reparing you is expensive!

Ecliptor teleports to Angel Grove.

Ecliptor: Now, let's have some fun!

He looks left and sees Bulk and Skull walking...

Ecliptor: I think I'll start by scaring those two idiots!

Ecliptor runs towards Bulk and Skull. As he's running towards them, he is yelling some jibberish that scares the pants off of Bulk and Skull, causing them to run away!

Ecliptor: This is too much fun!

Astronema: Now, should I make him 50 feet tall and give those Power Rangers something to worry about, or should I let him have his fun and let those Space Punks take him out like yesterday's garbage? I'll think about it.

SCENE VIII
Bridge - Astro Megaship: DECA senses that Ecliptor has gone to Angel Grove and sounds the alarm.

T.J.: What's going on?
Andros: It's just the alarm. DECA, main viewing screen.
DECA: Activating main viewing screen.

We see Ecliptor running after Bulk and Skull in the park.

Cassie: He's in the park!
T.J.: Ashley and Carlos are down there!

Just then, Ashley walks through the door with Carlos (dog) in her arms.

Carlos (dog): Woof!
Cassie: Thank goodness you made it back!
Ashley: (with a puzzled expression on her face) Why?
Andros: Take a look...

Ashley looks at the screen to find Ecliptor running through the park.

Ashley: Who's that?
Andros: He's called Ecliptor, a rather worthy adversary I fought back on KO-35.
Cassie: You had monster attacks on KO-35?
Andros: It was only that once. I defeated him in one of the greatest battles in history.
Ashley: How long did it take you?
Andros: The Ecliptor War, as it was called, lasted for one week.
T.J.: Love the name. Anyway, you have us on your side now.
Carlos (dog): Woof!
Ashley: Shouldn't we fix Carlos first?
Cassie: I kind of like him better this way!

Carlos (dog) jumps onto Cassie, knocking her over.

Ashley: See, Cassie? Dogs can understand what we say. (turns to Carlos [dog]) Can't you, puppy-wuppy?
Carlos (dog): Woof!
Andros: DECA, post the formula again.

The formula appears on the main viewing screen, as the Rangers surround Carlos (dog).

Andros: Everybody, hold hands.

Arrangement (clockwise) - Andros, Alpha-6, Cassie, T.J., and Ashley.

Everybody: "Dog be gone, Carlos here to stay."
"Dog be gone, Carlos here to stay."
"Dog be gone, Carlos here to stay."

Suddenly, a white beam of light comes down around Carlos (dog), and changes him back.

Carlos: It's great to be back!
T.J.: Save the pleasantries. We have to save Angel Grove from Ecliptor.
Carlos: Let's do it!
Andros: Alright... Let's Rocket!

Cut to the morphing sequence, starting with the Astro Morpher.

Voice: 3... 3... 5... (lights and sounds)

Andros morphs into the Red Ranger. T.J. morphs into the Blue Ranger. Carlos morphs into the Black Ranger. Cassie morphs into the Pink Ranger. Ashley morphs into the Yellow Ranger. The five Rangers then teleport to Angel Grove to fight Ecliptor.

SCENE IX
Astronema's ship: Astronema is monitoring the battle via Divatox's periscope...

Astronema: Well, I see the Rangers managed to fix their friend! Now, I'll fix them! QUANTRONS! Go down there and fight those pathetic Power Brats!

Camera cuts to a wall of QuanTrons. We see a dozen of them transport to Earth.

Astronema: Now, we'll see how those Rangers like fighting my QuanTrons! Ha ha ha!

SCENE X
Angel Grove Park: The Power Rangers teleport to where Ecliptor is running.

Andros: Ecliptor!
Ecliptor: Oh, hi! How's the cuddly puppy?
Carlos: I'm not a dog anymore, you fiend!
Ecliptor: Oooh... Astronema's not going to like that!
Andros: Astronema's not going to like this either. Let's get him!

Just then, the dozen QuanTrons appear around Ecliptor.

Ecliptor: I was waiting for you guys to show up!
Cassie (sarcastically): Sure you were...
Ecliptor: I was!
Ashley: Yeah, right!
T.J.: Astronema just doesn't want you to fail too quickly!
Ecliptor: She does?
Andros: Uhh... yeah! That's right!
Ecliptor: QuanTrons! Get them!

The QuanTrons start running towards the Rangers.

Ecliptor: Maybe Astronema really isn't my friend after all...

Astronema: NOOO! Those idiots are turning Ecliptor against me! You! (looks at a QuanTron) Take this growth potion, that I got at Rita Repulsa & Lord Zedd's rummage sale, and make Ecliptor grow!

The QuanTron teleports with the growth formula.

The QuanTron appears by Ecliptor with the formula.

Ecliptor: For me? Thank you!

Ecliptor drinks the formula and suddenly grows to 50 feet tall!

Ecliptor: Let's see the Rangers deal with me now!!

Camera cuts to a shot of the Rangers fighting the QuanTrons...

Ashley: (looks up after kicking a QuanTron) Would you look at that?
Cassie: What?
Ashley: Look up there.

Cassie looks up.

Cassie: I thought this stopped with Divatox's torpedoes.
Ashley: I guess not.
Andros: Guys, calm down. We'll simply use our Astro Morphers to call the Astro Megazord!
Carlos: We can do that?
Andros: There's a lot you don't know about being Power Rangers like me.
T.J.: What are we waiting for?
Andros: Open up your morphers and dial 5-4-1.
Carlos: Let's do it!

Cut to a shot of an Astro Morpher opening, with a white hand is pressing the code for the Astro Megazord in the same fashion as the morphing sequence.

Voice (over morpher): 5... 4... 1... (lights and sounds from morpher)

We see the Astro Megaship sailing through space as the Rangers teleport to it. The Megaship then begins its transformation into the Astro Megazord.

Camera cuts to a shot of the five Rangers on the Bridge.

Andros: Isn't Auto-Pilot great?
T.J.: It sure saves time!

Camera cuts to Ecliptor hovering in space...

Ecliptor: Come on, you pathetic Power punks! I'm sure that heap of junk has a few tricks up its sleeve!

SCENE XI
Astronema's ship...

Astronema: NO! You're supposed to destroy them... not chit-chat with them!
Elgar: You tell 'em, Astronema!
Astronema: Get to work on that Solar System map! I want to see through it by tonight!
Elgar: Umm... you're supposed to see through it?
Astronema: YES!
Elgar: Well... guess I'd better get to work.

SCENE XII
Back in Outer Space, the Rangers (in the Astro Megazord) are battling Ecliptor...

Ecliptor: I'm waiting...

Camera cuts to the Rangers in the cockpit of the Megazord...

Andros: Fire MegaThrusters now!
DECA: Firing MegaThrusters.
Ashley: Here comes the fun part!
Carlos: A walk in the park?

Ashley looks at Andros...

Ashley: I thought he was supposed to be back to normal.
Andros: It might take a while for him to be completely back to normal.

Ecliptor: I don't have all day, you know!

===

Andros: Astro Megazord saber, now!

Camera cuts to a view of the Astro Megazord, with the saber in his hand.

Ecliptor: Uh oh...

All: Finish him off!

The Astro Megazord flies past Ecliptor, destroying him! In the cockpit...

All: Whoo-hoo! We won!

SCENE XIII
Astronema's ship: Astronema is furious that she lost (again) !

Astronema: ELGAR!
Elgar: Yes, your Evilness?
Astronema: This is all your fault!
Elgar: How is this my fault?
Astronema: Don't question me! If you don't like it, why don't you go back to work for your Auntie Divatox!
Elgar: Nah, she threw me out after the fiasco at the Villains' Banquet.
Astronema: Aren't you done with that Solar System diagram yet?

Elgar looks around, whistling...

Astronema: GET BACK TO WORK!

SCENE XIV
Astro Megaship SimuDeck: Cassie and T.J. are sitting in the "mock" Park.

Cassie: Doesn't this bring back memories?
T.J.: Of what life used to be like?
Cassie: Yeah.
T.J.: Cassie, it's our duty to protect the universe from Astronema.
Cassie: Have you heard the news?
T.J.: What news?
Cassie: The Galaxy Gazette has the latest gossip on Astronema and her forces!
T.J.: And...
Cassie: It says that Astronema has a new look and a new assistant... Elgar!
T.J.: (laughing) Elgar? You've got to be kidding me!
Cassie: It's true!

Carlos and Ashley walk up to them...

Carlos: What's T.J. laughing at?
Cassie: He's laughing at the fact that Astronema's new assistant is Elgar!
Ashley: (laughing) Elgar?
Carlos: (laughing) You're kidding, right?
Cassie: Why does everybody keep asking me that?
Carlos: (tries to stop laughing) I'm sorry.
Ashley: (while laughing) It's just that... out of all the evil villains that the Earth has seen... why she chose Elgar just surprises me!

Andros, who overheard all this while on the Bridge, walks in with Alpha-6.

Alpha-6: (while walking on-screen) ... So you see, Andros, Bulk and Skull have been getting in the way of the Power Rangers since 1993.
Andros: I see. (looks at the four Rangers) Would you guys rather Astronema team up with, say, Dark Specter, or perhaps Master Vile?

The team looks at him, puzzled.

Ashley: Who's Master Vile?
Carlos: We're new, you know.
Andros: The evil history is very complicated.
Cassie: So, in other words...
Andros: ... Just be thankful that Astronema's assistant is as dumb as a brick.

Everybody laughs.

SCENE XV
Astronema's ship.

Astronema: ELGAR!

Elgar comes running up to her.

Elgar: You rang?
Astronema: Where is the Solar System diagram?
Elgar: Oh, that. Heh heh. It, um, fell out of the ship.
Astronema: HOW DID IT FALL OUT OF THE SHIP?!?!?
Elgar: Ummm... we hit some, uh, turbulence. Yeah, that's it.
Astronema: We hit some turbulence?
Elgar: Uh huh.

Astronema's video phone rings.

Astronema: I'll deal with you later, Elgar!

She walks over and presses a few buttons.

Astronema: Hello?

We see Divatox's face on the monitor.

Divatox: Astronema, darling!
Astronema: What do you want?
Divatox: How are things working out between you and Elgar?
Astronema: Fine. Just fine. What could be wrong?
Elgar (from off-camera): Hi, Auntie Divatox! By the way, Astronema, is this important?
Astronema: Hold on, Divatox.

Camera swings around to see Elgar and the rear of Astronema's head.

Astronema: Is what important, Elgar?

Elgar holds up a captain's wheel.

Elgar: This.
Astronema: Oh no!

Astronema turns around to Divatox on the video phone.

Astronema: Divatox, I have to go.
Divatox: What did Elgar do now?
Astronema: I need to borrow your Space Base for a while.
Divatox: Go ahead. I'll throw in Porto and Rygog as free gifts.
Astronema: (whispering) Are they better than Elgar?
Divatox: Of course! Why do you think we all nominated Elgar to be your assistant?
Elgar (from off-camera): We're going into the Asteroid Belt.
Astronema: I'll see you at the next Villains' Banquet. Goodbye!
Divatox: Buh-bye!

Astronema turns off the video phone.

Astronema: QuanTrons!

All QuanTrons mumble at once.

Astronema: It's moving day! Destination: Space Base!
Elgar: Can I go, too?
Astronema: No, no, no. See, when we leave, you'll have this ship to yourself!
Elgar: Cool!
Astronema: It's been nice working with you, Elgar.
Elgar: Bye-bye!

We see Astronema and the QuanTrons teleport to the Space Base.

Astronema: Boys, we're home!

Elgar: Wow! I've never had an entire ship to myself!

Suddenly, Astronema teleports back!

Astronema: I forgot this [Divatox's old periscope].

Astronema holds onto it and teleports it and herself back to the Space Base. No sooner does Astronema leave, then all kinds of alarms start going off!

Alarm voice: WARNING! SHIP OUT OF CONTROL!

Astronema looks at the Earth from the Space Base and sees her old ship go flying across her view...

Elgar (from ship as it is sailing by): aaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Astronema: That'll keep him busy. Now, about redecorating this place...
