In addition to being nominated for best new character,
Mitch, along with Debbi Morgan, were presenters.
The film clip shown for Matthew Harmon was the
scene in which he confronted Dr. Boardman, the
head surgical resident, who turned Matt down for
surgical rotation because of his disability.
Matt is shown telling Dr. Boardman:

"When you look at me, you see a man with physical limitations.
When I look at myself, I see a surgeon with unlimited potential."

Mitch did not win the award for best new character, but it
certainly was a feather in his cap for him to be nominated his
first year on Port Charles - Congratulations, Mitch.
