Ricky Nelson was born Eric Hillard Nelson in 1940 to Ozzie and Harriet Nelson.
The Nelsons already had one other son David Nelson. Ricky Nelson grew up on the T.V. hit
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, which starred his real life family. As Ricky grew older
he became more interested in making music. His first audience was when he sang and played a guitar
on the show. Ricky Nelson soon became a teenage idol and brought forth hits such as: "Hello Mary Lou",
Travelin Man", and "Never Could Be Anyone Else But You". But Ricky's real life love was not Mary Lou,
she was Kristin Harmon, sister of actor Mark Harmon, and daughter of football star Tom Harmon.
They married in the early 60's. (They would later divorce in about '81.) Ricky though soon became a father.
Ricky had other things though to make his life great besides his new fatherhood. His music carreer was soaring.
Ricky continued to be a star until he died in a plane crash in late 1985.
