Friday the 13th: The Series

While riding high on the popularity of the Friday the 13th films fortunate son Frank Mancuso Jr. (who's father was the president of Paramount Studios) decided to make a TV series out of it. Realizing that slasher films that thrive of sex & violence would never adapt to television Mancuso used only the Friday the 13th name. The show's plot line and characters are in no way shape or form connected to the Jason movies.

I have never seen the show, although I hear it is rather good. Here is the premise of the show, courtesy of the Internet Movie Database:

An old antique dealer made a pact with the Devil to sell cursed antiques. When he dies, his store is inherited by his niece Micki and her cousin Ryan. With the help of Jack Marshak, they fight to retrieve the antiques from the people who bought them to stop them from causing harm.

For the purposes of my pages the show is not relevant to the Jason subject matter. If you would like to find out more about the show here are some links:

A damn good page, even if it is run by an AOLer
