We see a lot of cars and people in front of the auditorium. ZOOM IN on the marquee it reads "HOLLYWOOD MURDERS Staring Sidney Prescot"

INT. -- INSIDE THE AUDITORIUM

Several people walk passed a table picking up programs. ZOOM in on the front of one that a person is looking at. It reads

"HOLLYWOOD MURDERS by Randy Meeks".

The person turns over the program and we can see the back. It has small black and white pictures of all of the victims from Scream 2. The text reads "Dedicated in Loving Memory to Phil Stevens, Maureen Evans, CiCi Cooper, Randy Meeks, Detective Wesley Andrews, Detective Kevin Richards, Hallie Konrad, Derek Woods" CUT TO--

BACKSTAGE.

We ZOOM in on a door with a star painted on it. A peace of paper that reads Sidney Prescot is taped under it. CUT TO--

INSIDE THE DRESSING ROOM

On one side there is a couch with a dress laying on it. Above the couch there is a large electrical box with mettle cables going up to an empty space in the ceiling. On the other side is a makeup mirror and table. We see Sidney wearing a bra and panties. She walks over to the couch and reaches for the dress that is lying there when she hears the door open. She whirls around. We see the face of the person who opened it, leaning half in and half out. It is a young man wearing a headset and holding a clip board.

SIDNEY:
Damn it Bobby, I thought I locked that door.

She runs over to the door and leans on it, to prevent it from opening any further.

BOBBY:
What's the matter, don't want me to see you in here.

He kisses her on the lips.

SIDNEY:
OK what do you want.

BOBBY:
Just wanted to tell you that it's 15 minutes 'till show time.

SIDNEY:
Yea, I'll be out there in a minute.

She playfully pushes him out. He leans in for another kiss but the door closes in his face. Sidney walks over to the couch. In a shot from behind we see her take off her bra, pick up the dress and pull it down over her head. CUT TO another dressing room. This one is larger and has several girls in it. On one side there is an old TV. On the screen we see the FOX logo.

NARRATOR (ON TV):
The most controversial film of the decade, the Fox Tuesday night movie Stab.

CUT back to Sidney's dressing room. She is sitting at her makeup table. A phone rings. She reaches into her purse and pulls out her cellular phone.

SIDNEY:
Hello.

PHONE KILLER:
Hello again. You ready to make another movie.

SIDNEY:
God damn it, who the hell are you?

PHONE KILLER:
Awe, come on. You don't remember me? All the fun we've had together.

SIDNEY:
Bobby is that you? If it is, I'm going to kill you.

PHONE KILLER:
Wrong again. This time I'll kill you.

SIDNEY:
How did you get this number?

PHONE KILLER:
How do you think?

She slams the phone shut. She waits for a second and then it rings again.

SIDNEY:
God damn it.

She slides the battery off the back of the phone. It stops in mid ring.

SIDNEY:
Come on Sid, it's just a prank cause of that stupid movie.

She turns back to the mirror and continues putting on her makeup. She hears a noise and turns around. She does not see anything and goes back to applying her makeup. All of a sudden in the mirror's reflection we see Father Death dropping out of the opening in the ceiling and on to the couch. He immediately jumps to the ground. She Screams grabs the makeup tray and slams it into his head. She runs to the door but the handle will not budge.

SIDNEY:(screaming)
Help me. Help me. God damn it.

CUT TO -- THE OTHER GIRLS DRESSING ROOM.

They can hear the screaming but are paying it no attention. We can see that the TV is showing the opening scene of Stab, it is at a part where Casey Becker is being chased and is screaming. The girls think that the screaming is just coming from the TV.

CUT BACK TO SIDNEY'S DRESSING ROOM

She looks and sees that Father Death is getting back up. He pulls out a knife and comes toward her.

SIDNEY:
Fuck!

She runs over to the couch. She jumps from the couch to the top of the electrical box. She climbs from there to the space in the ceiling. When she is nearly up top Father Death grabs her leg. She kicks him in the head. He falls back onto the floor. Sidney gets up onto the ceiling. It is a storage area with a lot of wooden block props, lights and other theater equipment. She tries to push her way through a space in all of the clutter.

SIDNEY:(screaming)
Damn it. Can anyone hear me! Help! Fucking help me!

CUT TO the floor of the stage. We can vaguely make out some screaming.

STAGEHAND 1:
What the hell is that.

STAGEHAND 2:
Oh, that. The girls have a TV in there dressing room. There watching Stab.

STAGEHAND 1:
Damn, that's right, it's on tonight. I wanted to watch it.

STAGEHAND 2:
Just rent the video. TV will cut out all the good stuff anyway. Trust me you want to see Heather Graham's tits (pause) when she's hanging naked from that tree, oh man there's some good shit in that movie.

CUT back to Sidney, in the storage space. She craws under a table that has a heavy box on top of it. Father death follows her. He slashes her lower leg. He grabs her leg and tries to pull her toward her. FADE to the control both in the back of the auditorium. Bobby comes walking in.

BOBBY:
Everything ready up here.

SOUND BOARD GUY:
The mics are ready. John says the stage lights are ready.

Bobby looks out the window, toward the corner of the theater.

BOBBY:
What about the spot lights? Where the hell is Steven?

SOUND BOARD GUY:
Last I saw he was back by the entrance.

BOBBY:
Well he's supposed to be over there on the damn spotlight.

Bobby presses the button for his head set.

BOBBY:
Where in the hell is Steven? If anyone sees him tell him to get his ass over here.

The door opens and Steven walks in.

BOBBY:
Where the hell have you been?

STEVEN:
I was talking to some of the girls out there.

Steven grabs a headset off the railing, and puts it on and activates it.

STEVEN:
Bobby can you hear me?

BOBBY:
Loud and clear.

Steven walks out and over to one of the spot lights. Bobby sits down at the control board. He reaches up and rubs his hand on his head, like it has been hurt. Outside the window the theater is filling up. In the crowd we see Dewey Reiley, he is sitting and reading his program.

BOBBY: (into headset)
John, it's almost time, go get Sid and the others.

We watch John walk backstage and down the hall. He knocks on several doors. The people come out in full costume. In the girls dressing we see the TV. It is showing the body of the fake Casey Becker hanging from the tree. It looks like the scene from Scream except the shot is not moving and she is naked, with black dots edited on for television. One of the girls turns it off before walking out the door. John gets to Sidney's door, and knocks on it.

JOHN:
Sidney, it's time. (Pause) Sid you in there, its time to start. Sid.

He waits for a moment and then reaches for the door handle. He tries to turn it but it will not budge.

JOHN:
What the hell?

He looks at the door and sees a broken off key that was stuck in the lock. On the floor he sees the top of the key that was broken in the door. He presses his headset button.

JOHN:
Bobby, you there?

BOBBY (filtered):
Yea, what is it?

JOHN:
I'm at Sid's dressing room. She's not answering, and there is a broken off key stuck in the lock. I can't open the door.

BOBBY (filtered):
Oh, shit!

Bobby runs down through the theater, and back stage.

JOHN:
Now what do we do?

BOBBY:
Kick the fucking door down!

JOHN:
What?

BOBBY:
Sidney is missing the day before STAB 2 opens, now help me, get into the fucking dressing room.

Bobby kicks at the door, it does not open. John joins in. After a few kicks the door flies opened. They run in and see the mess left by the struggle. Bobby pushes the couch out of the way. He looks behind it and sees nothing.

BOBBY:
Shit, shit! Come on.

They run out onto the stage. Bobby grabs a microphone that is out front.

BOBBY:(over the loud speaker)
Has anyone seen Sidney Prescott in the past couple of minutes.

Dewey gets out of his seat and comes running/limping down to them.

DEWEY:
What's that about Sidney? Is she OK.

BOBBY:
We don't know. Her dressing room was trashed. We can't find her.

Dewey is startled by someone's hand on his shoulder, from behind. It's Gus Gold , the drama teacher. He has a flexible key chain around his wrist, It has several keys like the one that was broken off in the door.

Mr. GOLD :
What's going on here. Is everything OK.

DEWEY:
Oh, shit. (grabs the mic) Has anybody seen Sidney Prescot, this is important. Has anyone seen anything unusual.

Dead silence for a moment. One of the actors that is backstage pushes the curtain opened to see what is happening. All of a sudden there is a loud noise from above. Everyone looks up and sees several ceiling tiles falling out of there place. They are followed by a body. The body is tied to a rope. The rope runs out of slack, suspending the body about 5 feet above everyone's heads. A close-up shows it to be the gutted lifeless body of Sidney Prescot.
