Rocky II was filmed in mid-to-late 1979. It is a continuation to the box office smashing movie "Rocky". In this movie, Rocky gets a pretty sum of coin from fighting Apollo Creed in the first of the "Rocky Quintilogy" and ends up blowing it on garbage. He gets about $113, 000 and blows it all. He buys a house, a car, a whole bunch of other junk and ends up being forced to take the rematch that Apollo has challenged Rocky with.
And of course, Adrain is pretty pissed that Rocky is taking the rematch, so she gives him the silent treatment. You know, she pretty much ignores him, and Rocky is feeling like shit doing this. But then after Adrian has their baby, Rocky jr., she says she is alright with the idea of Rocky fighting Apollo. Well, Mickey is totally alright with this idea and shouts: "Well, what are we waitin' fer?"
This is where the training comes in. The training and the awesome music. Rocky has the will of a warrior and Apollo is just pissed off. But Rocky goes into the fight scared and Apollo is on fire. Apollo gets sloppy and Rocky takes charge. In the 15th round, Rocky knocks Apollo's block off to be the new Heavyweight Champion of the World!!! And to that Rocky replys: "I just want to say something to my wife who's home. Yo Adrian, I did it!!"
Although it is the sequel, and sequels tend to do better than the originals (sometimes), Rocky II made less than $16, 000, 000 in the box office. And of course Frank Stallone is in the movie. Frickin' Boobanky!
