Rocky V

Rocky V was filmed in Philidelphia in 1990. This is the final of the tremendous 5-part series. And what a way to go. In this one, Rocky comes back from fighting Ivan Drago in Russia to find that his entire fortune is gone. What happened was Paulie had got Rocky to sign a document to give their accountant access to their bank accounts when Rocky and Adrian were in Russia. Well, the accountant thought he could invest Rocky's money in companies and such, and get all the money back in Rocky's accounts before they got back. Well, it didn't happen that way. All the investments fell through and Rocky lost millions of dollars. That bastard. [here is a free piece of advice: never trust a fucking accountant!]
Now Rocky has to sell all of their stuff to pay off the money they owed, and move back to his old neighbourhood. Also suffering severe brain damage , Rocky is forced to retire from professional boxing. This is where Rocky starts to teach boxing in his old manager's, Mickey Goldmill, boxing gym that was willed to Rocky Balboa, jr. after Mickey died back in Rocky III. While teaching boxing, Rocky meets Tommy Gunn (played by former heavyweight boxing rank contender Tommy Morrison). Rocky sees Tommy Gunn's talent and begins to manage him. Becoming impatient with Rocky, Tommy signs management with George Washington Duke ( a kind of Don King ) who is a crooked, low-life manager/boxing promoter and becomes the heavyweight champion.
Duke then talks Tommy into challenging Rocky to a fight so Tommy can win the respect he has been searching for since he has been with Duke. Tommy challenges Rocky, but, this isn't a boxing match, it's a no-holds-barred streetfight in the back-alleys and streets of Philidelphia. After minutes of cruel fighting, Rocky prevails over the young champion.
The soundtrack in this movie isn't the best but it does still have and excellent one. The fight at the end of the movie with Rocky and Tommy Gunn is, in my opinion, the best fight of all the Rocky series. This movie made $40, 950, 000 in the box office.
