The story of Bambi, a young deer, and his friends as he grows up.  His mother is killed by hunters and he must grow up.  When he does grow up, he falls in love with the beautiful Faline, but must fight for her.  During his fight with another buck, a fire starts, which destroys much of the forest he lives in.  However, he and Faline survive, and have two fawns of their own.

    This was the studio's fifth feature, yet there are a few things to keep your eye out for.  After the fire, when all of the animals are on the small island, keep an eye on a mother racoon licking her baby.  It diappears for a moment.

MPAA Rating:
    G  Bambi's mother dies, so if there are sensitive viewers, watch out.

My Rating:
    It is a great coming of age story.  Bambi must overcome the odds to become prince of the forest.
