Ferris Beuller's Day Off (1986) (Paramount)

Synopsis:

Ferris Beuller is sick.  At least he convinces his parents and almost all of the greater metropolitan Chicago area that he is.  Ferris takes what may be his last day off from school to enjoy it.  With his friends, Ferris goes to the Sears Tower, a classy resturaunt (with a snooty maitre'd), and party down in the middle of a parade.

This film launched Ben Stein to his current fame.  He currently has a show on Comedy Central called Win Ben Stein's Money.  This guy has done a lot, but all that he is really known for is being that teacher on Ferris Beuller -- Beuller . . . Beuller . . . Beuller . . . Beuller . . . Beuller . . . Beuller . . . .

MPAA Rating:
PG-13 for language and some adult situations

My Rating:
I know most every review I've done, I've mentioned that it was one of my favorites.  This one is definitely one.  Almost anywhere I go, I can be talking to someone and mention they are my hero, and we begin quoting the movie.
