Synopsis:
When an old yellow dog enters the life of a frontier family, the youngest son thinks he's found a dog of his own and the oldest son thinks a no good thieving rascal has entered their lives.  But they learn they have found a trusted friend who would even give up his life to protect the family who took him in.

My Rating:
One of the best live-action Disney films ever made.  It is a real tear-jerker for me (yes, I've come that close to crying over this movie).  It is a coming of age story, and it does deal with themes of growing up.
