Career: Started out as a model for Hatti Carnegie. Was later offered a job as a chorus girl in a movie called Roman Scandles. More followed. Later, she was offered a large role in a musical called Too Many Girls. There she met a Cuban actor named Desi Arnaz who would later be her future husband. She and Desi did fall in love and were married on November 30, 1940 in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Homelife: After Lucy and Desi married, they bought a ranch in California called Chatsworth. They decided to rename it to Desilu Ranch.
Personal: Lucy and Desi had two childeren. Lucie Jr. and Desi Jr. On July 17, 1951, little Lucie was born. On January 19, 1953, little Desi was born. However, the same day that little Desi was born, so was little Ricky; on the episode, "Lucy Goes to the Hospital". It made television history!
After "Lucy": Growing tired of the weekly series, Lucy and Desi decided to retire from "I Love Lucy" and instead start a new series called the "Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour". Only 13 of these episodes ran until troubles in the marriage ended the production. They were later divorced after the final episode of the comedy hour. It ended a legend.
New Life: In 1961, Lucy re-married to Gary Morton, a comedian. She also started her own new series, "The Lucy Show" and later, "Heres Lucy". Unfortunately, these only lasted so long. On April 26, 1989, Lucy passed away. She was 77 years young.
