It's not easy being the glue that holds a family together, especially a dysfunctional clan like the affluent Corys. But Rachel plays the role for her kin with uncommon smarts and bravery. Here, her portrayer sounds off on how Rachel makes the decisions that some of her nearest and dearest fear will break her…
"She loves him. She's just like anybody else in love. You know the rationale goes right out the window. She chooses to trust him in the face of any obstacle."
"She tried kicking him out, but she found that life had lost its color, its meaning and its joy. The older you get, the more you prize any joy that comes into your life. It's much, much harder to make the tough decisions like that and say, 'I'm just not going to allow this joy to be in my life because of this moral point.' She just can't do that."
What gave Rachel the strength to proceed with the pregnancy despite the risk?"She's not afraid to go against the stream. I admire that about her. She made the decision about her baby the same way. I mean, it's her body, her baby and her decision."
