He was raised in the future by Cyclops and Jean Grey (who had been transported to the future by the Mother Askani). Many years passed before he returned to the current timeline, and he took up the position as leader / mentor of the New Mutants, who he moulded into X-Force. Caliban is X-Force's mutant hunter/tracker. Originally a member of the Morlocks, Caliban was genetically altered by Apocalypse to become his horseman Death, and was given the ability to gain strength from the fear of others. Rejecting Apocalypse, Caliban wandered aimlessly through the abandoned Morlock tunnels until recruited by Cable to join X-Force. Caliban began to suffer crippling headaches, the cause of which is unknown. He was taken by Ozymandias, claiming that only he could cure him.

Callisto was the original leader of the Morlocks until losing her leadership to Storm. After Storm relinquished the leadership back to her, Callisto was then deposed by Masque. After the death of the Morlocks she disappeared, resurfacing when she discovering Colossus in Antarctica after the destruction of Avalon, and enlisted his and the X-Men's aid in stopping Gene Nation. She later resurfaced in the alternate dimension where Mikhail Rasputin had teleported the Morlocks, and then later again she and Marrow attempted to bomb a rock concert, but was stopped by Cable and Storm. She was seriously injured during OZT and has asked her former enemy Storm to take care of her young ward, Marrow, whom storm believed she had killed.

His immortality manifested itself when he was slain by Sauron during battle with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, after which he returned to life. Naming it Franklin after his son, the robot attempted to become friends with Cerebra by linking minds with her, but the incident left her crippled and without her powers.

Ch'vayre was first seen as a prelate of Apocalypse in the future of the Clan Askani. He betrayed his master, and joined up with the Clan Askani in their battle against Apocalypse. Ch'vayre's origin was revealed when he appeared in the present as an emissary of Sanctity under orders to force Cable to fulfil his destiny and battle Apocalypse. Ch'vayre formed an alliance with the Hellfire Club, who were seeking out Cable at the time, and led both parties to Apocalypse's stronghold where he hoped Cable would complete his destiny. Instead, Ch'vayre's betrayal of the Hellfire Club was revealed and Sebastian Shaw threw Ch'vayre into one of Apocalypse's transformation chambers where he was trapped. This explains how the older Ch'vayre was a servant of Apocalypse and had bionic implants - the result of him being trapped in the transformation chamber in the present.

Chimera first encountered Wolverine whilst she was gaining information on him and his regressive state. Recently, she encountered Wolverine once again when he and Venom were lured into a trap set by her by Dirt Nap. She and Dirt Nap were both seemingly killed in an implosion, but they survived and re-appeared in Emplate's dimensional nexus. Teaming up, the villains attacked the Generation X school in an attempt to kidnap the M twins, but to defend themselves the twins merged back into M and then merged with Emplate, creating the being known as M-Plate. Chimera captured Synch and fled along with M-Plate.

Chinook was once one of Canada's greatest heroes prior to World War II. After the war he disappeared from the spotlight, but returned years later to help Weapon Alpha (now known as Guardian) and Weapon X (now known as Wolverine) to stop a Cosmic Ray Collector which had overloaded and was threatening to destroy the town of Orloo. Chinook flew head first into the collector and the resultant explosion caused a dimensional rift. Chinook emerged alive but had been altered by the cosmic rays into a giant, misshapen creature bent on destroying the country he once defended. It took the combined efforts of Weapon Alpha, Weapon X, and Puck to stop him by knocking him back into the dimensional rift, the resulting implosion closing the rift and destroying the collector. Chinook didn't die, however, and returned years later to threaten Canada once again. The new Alpha Flight team was dispatched to stop him, and he was seemingly killed for good when he was torn in half by Sasquatch.

Over the years Colossus suffered many tragedies, including being severely wounded by the Marauder Riptide, the betrayal of his brother Mikhail and the death of his sister Illyana, which led him to join Magneto's Acolytes. Upon the destruction of the Acolyte's base Avalon, Colossus was rescued by Callisto and eventually joined the ranks of Excalibur, but returned to the X-men along with Shadowcat and Nightcrawler after Excalibur disbanded.

Fabian Cortez took control of the Acolytes after supposedly eliminating Magneto. Fleeing to Genosha, Cortez attempted to incite the island's mutant population to revolt, but was tracked down and seemingly slain by Exodus. He later resurfaced when Joseph was seeking his past, and tricked him into confronting Exodus.

Delphine Courtney was actually an android that could imitate human form. It first appeared as the secretary to Jerome Jaxon, the man who formed the first Omega Flight. After Jaxon and James Hudson were killed in Omega Flight's first confrontation with Alpha Flight, Delphine disappeared. Later, it returned in the form of James Hudson, supposedly back from the dead, in an effort to infiltrate and destroy Alpha Flight from within. During a battle with Alpha Flight, the Delphine android was destroyed when Box used his mutant powers of controlling metal to invert the android in on itself.

General Coy was a former general in the South Vietnamese army who travelled to Madripoor and attempted to become the crimelord of the tiny island nation. He became an enemy of Wolverine, and after several attempts to kill him ended up attempting to frame Wolverine for the murder of his friends at the Princess Bar. Coy and Prince Baran had actually hired assassins to do the job, but Wolverine discovered the truth. Coy shot the Prince in an attempt to blame the whole situation on him, and was himself shot by Tyger Tiger whilst attempting to escape.

Graydon Creed was the human son of Mystique and Sabretooth. Founding member of the Friends of Humanity, Creed was also involved with Operation: Zero Tolerance, the anti-mutant strike force led by Bastion. Creed was slain during his presidential campaign speech by an unknown assailant.
Crucible

Byron Calley was discovered and recruited by Magneto as one of his Mutant Force lackeys and took the code-name Burner. He remained with the Mutant Force throughout its various incarnations. In their latest incarnation, where they changed the name of the team to the Resistants, he changed his codename to Crucible. The team's protest against the United States' Mutant Registration Act was cut short by the clash with USAgent, who was then known as Captain America. Presumably, he remains in federal custody.

Cyber was one of Wolverine's greatest enemies, possessed of adamantium skin and claws laced with a powerful hallucinogen. Cyber was freed from imprisonment by the Dark Riders, as part of Genesis' plan to capture Wolverine. Cyber was slain when Genesis stripped him of his adamantium.

Both Scott and Alex Summers were orphaned at a young age, but Scott was never adopted. Scott was the first X-Man recruited by Professor X. Cyclops has been the mainstay of the X-Men team for many years now, even as a member of the original X-Factor team with the rest of the original X-Men. Cyclops' most tragic time was when he had to let his baby son Nathan be taken into the future to find a cure for a lethal techno-virus that had infected him. His son later returned as the man named Cable. Scott and his long-time love Jean Grey have recently married, and Scott took on the mantle of co-leader of the X-Men with Storm after Xavier was arrested by the Government for crimes committed as Onslaught. During OZT Bastion planted a bomb into Cyclops' chest which was removed by Celia Reyes upon return to an empty x-mansion. After this Cyclops went to Canada with his wife to recover from his surgery. He was joined by the other three original X-men after he commented on the strange behaviour of his wife, Jean Grey, who has now seemingly lost her powers.

She was killed when Bloodscream drained her life essence to feed his vampiric need for energy.
