Dei Guan gained the mystical ability to transform into a dragon from an ancient wizard. He was drafted by the State into the superhuman team known as China Force. Guan defied orders to attack a temple of pacifist monks, and sided with Alpha Flight who were visiting the temple at Puck's behest. Guan was teleported to Canada with Alpha Flight but the Chinese government, believing he had defected, sent China Force to recover him. Guan willingly returned to China with them to clear his name, but later re-surfaced as part of 3Peace, a group that fights for the liberation of Chinese mutants.

Madison Jeffries is a mutant with the ability to reshape metals, plastics, and glass down to their molecular level. Jeffries was contacted by James Hudson and was invited to join the Alpha Flight training team Gamma Flight. He accepted until Gamma Flight was disbanded and he left. He was contacted by Roger Bochs to help design the Box robot. After this, Jeffries joined Alpha Flight as their resident machinesmith. When Bochs went insane and became part of Omega Flight, Jeffries took on the role of Box, using his powers to merge with the suit of armour and transform it as needed. Jeffries, as Box, was once engaged to Heather Hudson, but married his teammate Diamond Lil. With the recent reformation of Alpha Flight, Jeffries has rejoined the team, but has dropped the code-name Box. During Alpha's battle with the new Zodiac, Jeffries was captured by Scorpio. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Jones, Charlotte

Charlotte Jones is the former girlfriend of Archangel, and helped him regain his humanity thought lost after Apocalypse altered him. She has aided the X-Men on several occasions, most recently during Operation Zero Tolerance during which her son was kidnapped by Bastion, but rescued with the aid of Iceman, Cecilia Reyes, and Sabra. It has been revealed that Charlotte is a mutant with unknown latent abilities.

Originally mistaken to be the real Magneto, even eventually believing so himself, the young man called Joseph first appeared in Middle America when he was taken into an orphanage by Sister Maria after being found feverish and exhausted. With no memory of his past life he was named Joseph by Migdalia, one of the orphans. After Sister Maria and the orphans were being held hostage in an attempt to force Joseph to work with a criminal organisation, Joseph attacked the organisation and killed several men to rescue the sister and the orphans, who were shocked and apalled by what he had done. He left the next day and was told by Sister Maria to seek out the X-Men. He wandered Middle America until encountering Rogue who convinced him to return with her to the X-Men. Joseph aided the X-Men against such threats as Onslaught, and these acts gained Joseph the X-Men's trust. The real Magneto has since returned, albeit not to the X-Men's knowledge, and the truth about who Joseph really is has yet to be revealed.

Jubilee first encountered the X-Men when she followed them back through one of Gateway's portals to their outback headquarters. She stayed hidden until the Reavers captured and tortured Wolverine, whom she rescued. Tending to his wounds until he was well enough to travel, the two fled. She stayed with him until he rejoined the X-Men, when she also joined. When the Phalanx captured a group of young mutants, she helped rescue them and later left the X-Men to join them when they became Generation X.

Cain Marko found the Ruby of Cyttorak in an ancient cave and was instantly bonded to it, the Ruby transforming him into an indestructible, unstoppable behemoth called the Juggernaut. Holding a deep hatred for his stepbrother, Charles Xavier, his first target was the X-Men. He was defeated, but returned time and again to plague them over the years. Cain was teleported to the Malibu universe by Zoe Culloden to stop him from revealing information about Genesis' plans to Wolverine. Whilst there, he helped form and lead the mutant team known as the eXiles, until he was teleported back to the Marvel universe by Reaper. When Xavier became Onslaught, the gem was ripped from his chest and he was trapped inside it. Juggernaut encountered the god Cyttorak within the gem, and after Gomurr imbued him with the gem's power, he destroyed Cyttorak and was freed from the gem, returning with more power than ever before.

Junkpile was originally a member of Xi'an's X-Men of the year 2099 until he betrayed the team to Lytton Synge. Facing off against the X-Men 2099, he killed Serpentina and escaped. When Doom 2099 took over the United States and declared himself President, he offered Junkpile a position in the newly reformed SHIELD. Junkpile's first mission was to take down the Theatre Of Pain, but was defeated by the Theatre's leader, Brimstone Love.
