Leech is a former Morlock who has the power to cancel out any other mutant power in his immediate vicinity. He was saved from the Mutant Massacre by X-Factor. Recently he has joined Generation X as a student.

Legion was Charles Xavier's son, and was possessed with telepathic abilities. Due to his multiple personality disorder, these abilities manifested themselves in different ways depending on which personality was in control. Whilst under the control of the Shadow King during the Muir Island Saga, he was responsible for the death of Destiny, something that Mystique hates him for. Legion attempted to travel back in time to slay Magneto before he became a despot, but accidentally slew his own father instead. This caused Legion to vanish from existence, as well as altering the timeline to create the Age Of Apocalypse.

Lifeforce was a member of the second incarnation of the Dark Riders which were banded together by Genesis. The Dark Riders captured Cyber so that Genesis could strip his adamantium in his plan to make Wolverine his first Horseman. Lifeforce was killed when Wolverine rejected the adamantium, causing it to explode from his body in shards.

Lilandra

Real Name: Lilandra Neramani

Lilandra is the leader of the Shi'ar empire, and the lover of Charles Xavier. The greatest threat to her throne is her sister, Deathbird, who has actually deposed her several times, but she has managed to regain her throne each time thanks to the X-Men.

Llan

Real Name: Llan

First Appearance: Alpha Flight #71

Major Enemies: Alpha Flight

Llan is an ancient source of mystic evil which is apparently bent on the corruption of humanity. He appears every ten thousand years, and each time is faced by the bearer of the Talisman. Each encounter is done under some form of rules. In his most recent try, Llan took the form of a super-villain, since it seemed appropriate to the time. He then proceeded to trick Talisman into striking at him first, which freed him to act as he pleased. Llan then trapped Alpha Flight in a series of back-water dimensions for three months of real-world time while he made and implemented his plans, which was to open the Gateway Of Night and unleash a horde of demons on the world. Talisman eventually succeeded in defeating Llan by opening the counterpart to the Gateway Of Night - the Gateway Of Day. Apparently according to the rules of engagement, the two opposing armies cancelled each other out if they exist on the same plane simultaneously. With Llan's defeat everything returned to normal, and Llan will not be seen again for another 10,000 years.

Lockheed

Group Affiliation: Excalibur, formerly X-Men

Lockheed was discovered by Kitty Pryde whilst on the Brood homeworld when he saved her from them. Shadowcat adopted him, and when she left the X-Men, ended up becoming a member of Excalibur with her. Lockheed is a dragon-like creature, with the ability to fly and breathe fire. He has an enmity for Pete Wisdom over Wisdom's relationship with Kitty.

Lockup

Cause of Death: Slain by Storm

Group Affiliation: Brood

Major Enemies: X-Men

Powers: Unbreakable grip

Lockup was one of the Brood hosts during their last attempted invasion of Earth. Using mutant hosts, the Brood hoped to be able to destroy the X-Men, thus paving the way for an all-out invasion. Lockup was slain by a lightning bolt from Storm.

Longshot

Real Name: Longshot

Longshot was a creation of the spineless ones on Mojoworld to be used as entertainment for the masses. Possessed of incredible luck with whatever he does with pure motivations, Longshot joined the rebel movement on Mojoworld but was captured and had his memory erased. Escaping to Earth he met Ricochet Rita, a stuntwoman, who fell in love with him. Rita was captured by Mojo and turned into Spiral. Longshot returned to the Mojoverse but again lost his memory and ended up being teleported into the midst of the X-Men's Danger Room. Joining the team, Longshot became involved with Dazzler. He eventually left to find his lost memories, and didn't reappear for quite some time after until he took Dazzler to the Mojoverse to enlist the X-Men's aid in overthrowing Mojo once and for all. He was successful, and Mojo II was appointed as the new leader. Longshot and a pregnant Dazzler remained in the Mojoverse.

Lunatica is a member of the X-Men of the year 2099. Once a servant of the Theatre Of Pain, Lunatica escaped and eventually encountered Skullfire whilst he was on a leave-of-absence from the X-Men 2099, and the two fell in love. Returning to the X-Men 2099, Lunatica ended up joining the team after they defeated the Theatre Of Pain.

Lupo
