Quicksilver was born in the mountains of Wundagore and soon after his parents split up, so it was some time that he came to know that his father was Magneto. Many years later, he and his sister Wanda were saved my Magneto and they became the first two recruits for his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. After battling the X-Men the two left the Brotherhood and shortly after joined the Avengers. After many years in the team Quicksilver left to live with his then wife Crystal at the Inhumans base on the Moon. After marriage troubles, he returned to Earth and ended up joining the newly-reformed X-Factor. After reconciling problems with his wife, he left the team but ended up rejoining the Avengers with his wife. After the seemed death of Crystal in the attempt to stop Onslaught, Quicksilver stayed with the X-Men for a short period of time before leaving with Hercules to track down other former Avengers. Eventually returning to Wundagore, Quicksilver helped the High Evolutionary and the New Men repel an attack by Exodus and the Acolytes. Quicksilver was then "knighted" by the High Evolutionary, and joined the New Men.
