KCR is now 5 nights a week!

"A local radio station can help glue a community together.  I am sure Keith Community Radio will be a success.  Local people should back it and enjoy it"

Thomas Prag, Managing Director of Moray Firth Radio speaking in 1997.

What is KCR?

KCR is part of the Moray Firth Radio network, transmitting on 102.8 FM.  The area covered is centred on Keith (in Banffshire, Scotland) stretching to Dufftown in the south, Buckie in the north, Elgin in the west and Huntly in the east.

KCR broadcasts music, news, views, interviews, sport and talk covering all age groups and interests.

KCR offers itself as a focal point for community life in the Keith and surrounding areas.

KCR provides local groups and organisations with the chance to promote their activities, and boost interest and membership.

Tune into a bright new future
KCR is located in a studio at Seafield Lane, just off Mid Street, Keith.  Peter Stott, a local joiner and hotelier, has been very generous in providing premises and building materials for the studio.  He was also instrumental in helping KCR to acquire the new studio from R B Farquhar Ltd, which forms part of the new Keith Community Projects - an exciting new development for the future.
