Hokar" along with related scenes that were edited out
from the abridged version released previously on DVD
by EROS/DEI.
Video quality is disappointing and is of Video CD
quality, and without the contrast or definition of
the original release. The original 4.0 Dolby Digital
audio, which was not mixed well on the previous DVD
release, is now in an even more poorly mixed 3.1
surround, that is better left off your home theater
set-up. If you must, I suggest listening to the film
with the television speakers. This highly awaited
re-do that originally was going to be done by DEI
before the split with Eros is truly an abomination. I
would suggest that Rajshri Productions go the route
that Yashrajfilms did and release their library of
film classics on their own DVD company rather than
leave the legacy of their films to outside hands.
Recommended only for collectors who want the full
version of this Indian film classic.
