The Crow: City of Angels
This sequel to the 1994 cult classic which ended in the real life death of Brandon Lee has "The Crow" revive a new character, Ashe Corven, played by Vincent Perez. This time, a man and his son are killed by a deranged gang after witnessing a murder. The father is brought back to life by the crow to exact revenge on his murderers. A very dark, brooding revenge story.

Alright, I know what you're thinking. You think I'm going to compare this movie to the original and say that it sucks.
Well, surprise, I'm not going to.
Simply because you should never compare a sequel to its predecessor; it's not the same movie, it wasn't intended to be the same movie. And the characters are different. Vincent Perez is The Crow, but he's Ashe Corvin, not Eric Draven, so it's not like he's trying to fill the role originally belonging to Brandon Lee. And I, personally, feel that Perez did a very good job. Yes, I have some querks about the plot (there were a few holes in it), but I'm not going to sit here and pick it apart because there's nothing I can do about it. I like the characters very much, you can really see the pain in Ashe's eyes, grieving over his lost son. And even though we hate villains, I think these bad guys were fairly interesting, if not corny. Iggy Pop is a personal fave. I would recommend this movie, absolutely...just don't expect a masterpiece.
