A character to look up to...
Jacqueline Collen as Maeve gives goodness a face
The celtic beauty and love interest of Sinbad (played by Jacqueline Collen), Maeve is by many people seen as one of the biggest reason for the success of the first season. The warm-hearted, strong, sharp-minded, and sharp-tonged sorceress surely lightened up an already entertaining story and I have to say that she's one of the most agreeable tv-or film-characters that I know of. Jacqueline herself feels that she can relate to Maeve in several ways; especially the fact that they're both obsessed with animals of all kind, something that must have been useful when working with Mia (the falcon who plays Dermott). Maeve's goal in life is to help her brother Dermott to get back as a human. Rumina, daughter of the evil sorcerer Turock, has put a spell on him which turned him into a hawk. Maeve can still communicate with her brother, something Rumina probably didn't have in mind at the first place, but she knows that deep inside, he's miserable and misses the time when he never left the ground. The second goal, which she shares with the rest of the crew, particularly Sinbad, is to find her master and friend, Dim-Dim, and rescue him from the evil forces that took him away short after his reunite with the captain an his brother. Dim-Dim is also the only one who knows about Maeve's and Dermott's real relation to each other, that they're actually siblings.
Jacqueline Collen is 32 years old, married to Dean and lives with her son from her former marriage with Phil Collen, Rory in Los Angeles. Even though her dream of becoming a vet didn't come true as she discovered her acting-talent, Jacqueline makes up to it with her horse, cats and dogs at home. She's good at singing too, and had a bit of a dilemma whether how to chose the music-, or the animal-business, when the problem kind of solved it self. Just like Oris, Jacqueline used to be a model, but lay that carrier aside when she got the part as Maeve in "The Adventures of Sinbad". Besides spending time with her family and her pets, she. In 1999, she founded a company, "Medieval" Bath and Beauty Products.
