Here's the true story of how I became a desperate fan of The adventures of Sinbad....

Well,  actually, it all happened by a happy coincident. It was the last day of school before the summer vacation was going to start. I had just arrived home after a ride with my bike from a beach near us, where almost the whole school were going to spend the day as a happy ending of the term. Anyway, I got home about three or four o'clock and turned on the tv just to see if there was something worth watching (the strange thing is that I usually don't watch tv before seven or eight o'clock, except from this very particular day). So anyway, I sat down, had nothing to do I guess and just zapped around between the channels. Then all the sudden, I stopped at one of them, and saw what I later found out was called "The Adventures of Sinbad". Since I've never been that interested in adventure series before, I wasn't that exited at first, but then I started watching a while and got caught forever. I don't how this lovely series separated from others in the same genre, but it really did to me. And I got completely obsessed about it, had to watch every episode, even though it was summer and beautiful weather outside. When the whole season was over, I noticed in despair that it was the second, and last time it had been shown on this very channel, and that I probably wouldn't be able to see it again! I tried everything that was in my power to make the channel in question to send it at least one more time , but they weren't interested at all. Then I started to use internet as a support for the loss of my favourite series and found many others who wanted to fight for their Sinbad, and I started making my first very own AoS page (and my first own homepage as well).

Now, you see, I believe what I fell for in the series was the  innocence of it. Maybe some people would claim that things got a little too sweet, but then they don't get it. That's the point! Like Sinbad's and Maeve's unspoken love for one another, and the sorceress problems with her strong, though a bit uncontrolled magic powers, that's the stuff you thirst for. Watching the series made me forget all my troubles for a while and feel like I was living many hundred years ago, when every day was an adventure (even if you probably had a lot in your mind then as well). It makes a person comfortable, watching a tv-series where the message you get sent to you, is that no matter how much evil there is in the world, true love is stronger and will always defeat it.

Now, even if the series isn't being produced on tv anymore, we still have to remember it, and fight for it. We can't let people think that we don't care anymore, because we do (at least I do)! So, stand up for our favourite series in any possible way, that's the only thing that works. And if you ever feel like there's no hope of getting "The Adventures of Sinbad" back, have a seat by your computer, search for it on the web, and you'll see what a powerful force all AoS-fans have become for the last few years, and cheer up! As long as we keep the show inside us, it doesn't matter if there's people who thinks it's rubbish ( I feel sorry for those who do, because they obviously doesn't know anything about good tv-series).

So, safe journey and don't forget to fight for what you believe in!
