As the title suggests, there are lots of body parts involved. Here Jeff Fahey gets an arm grafted to his body after surviving a nasty car accident, and like the demonic hand from "Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn" and "Idle Hands", the new arm has a mind of its own. In addition to that, it induces memories from its former owner, an interesting if rather implausible idea. This movie has a fair amount of suspense and sometimes gets very gory, particularly during the surgery scenes. Some decent acting from Fahey and Brad Dourif helps propel the film, but it does get a little difficult to suspend disbelief once the evil limb's owner returns from the dead and tries to reclaim his missing body parts. The bottom line: "Body Parts" is a moderately entertaining horror movie which merits a look. |

** NOTE: The more dots, the better the movie. A dozen dots is as good as they get, while one or no dots accounts for what can euphemistically be labeled "bottom-of-the-barrel entertainment." ** |
