 With a name like "House of Whipcord", you'd think this horror movie would be just full of kinky fun. However, it isn't terribly kinky, nor is it exactly fun. No, this one turns to be a serious movie, and the whipping scenes amount to no more than a minute's worth of screen time. Actually, the whipping scenes only amount to a few seconds worth of screen time because camera goes into another room while girls are being flogged. So what good is this film then? It does have a wonderfully dim, gloomy look to it and the acting is above average for a horror movie. While it doesn't live up to the title much, it does have some cracking good nude scenes here and there. Plus, the story isn't so bad. It actually goes for a wicked plot twist in the middle, though afterwards it starts to falter. All in all, this movie deserves about an average rating. It's far from being the worst horror movie out there, but it isn't particularly satisfying either. |
