 "Night of the Demons 2" is a very good satire full of dark humor. It pokes fun at the horror movie genre, particularly the Exorcist series. In fact, there is even a scene where one girl vomits some of that familiar green goop after she is exorcised! There is plenty of holy water too, only it's in water balloons and super-soaker water cannons. The movie even derives humor from turning Catholic discipline into some form of martial arts. Back in the "good old days", nuns would often correct students by whacking them with a yardstick, but here in this film the nun uses the yardstick to fend off demons. She even uses rosary beads as if they're nunchucks! Not even breast-fondling is safe from the satirical eye of "Night of the Demons 2". Normally, it's the hands which grab the breasts, but the movie inverts this with the breasts actually grabbing the hands! It is definitely a gem for anyone who enjoys the dark humor from horror flicks such as "Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn" and "Dead Alive". |
