"The Toxic Avenger III: The Last Temptation of Toxie" is an outrageous B-movie hybrid between horror, comedy, and exploitation films, especially the latter two. Just to scratch the surface of the exploitation side, it is definitely a trip to see a scantily-clad, blind bimbo wandering around with a cane! It's also funny to see a bunch of bimbos cowering from an evil gang in a video rental store and ham it up when they get blown away. The first ten minutes are hilarious, and I particularly enjoy the scene where Toxie crams a thug's hand into the bulk head eraser and views the hand being torn apart on TV. From that moment, "The Toxic Avenger III" promises to be a dark comedy gem comparable to "Evil Dead II" and "Dead Alive", but unfortunately, the movie never outdoes itself after that scene. There are good gross-out moments scattered here and there, but the rest of the movie generally didn't live up to its beginning. Overall, "The Toxic Avenger III" is a silly but fairly good B-movie and recommended for those who love gross-out humor. |

** NOTE: The more dots on the domino, the better the movie. The maximum rating is 12 dots. One or no dots means you better call the bomb squad because that's exactly what the movie is (a bomb). ** |
