One of the most irritating things that can happen to you when you about to fully launch yourself in jet mode is your hard drive crashing.

I mean, it's like you are about to go on that long road trip, loaded the car, no more space, get in, move a few yards and crikey, you've got a flat tyre. You have to unload most of the stuf just so the jack can get purchase under the car.

Not that this is the case in this instance...mind you, I only said...."it's like".

See this yeye laptop that I've only had for like a year plus (I know needs changing but then so do most people in this world), which I have treated gently....totally out of the blue, just crashes. No warning...Operating System not found..... totally fine one day, totally dead the next. MY DATA..... O MI GOSH!!! Pictures, docs, videos, MY CV!!!!!!! WHY O WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME?

Anyway, thank God I backed up my files.....er....like 7 months ago, well....at least I get something back. Bought a new hard drive with double the capacity, reinstalled Windows and am now trying to get my programs back.

Ok... a word is enough for the wise....take the hint. Back up everything you've got...you might be next.
