Timeline: April 1999
Thanks to Top-Rope.com for making this info available!
4-4-99 (HeAT)
Triple H tries to lay claim to DX in an interview, but other than that Road Dogg isn't on or mentioned.
4-5-99 (RAW)
The New Age Outlaws defeat Gangrel and Edge. BABG starts and dominates; Road Dogg comes in and dances a bit. But soon the Road Dogg is getting double-teamed, and gets hit with a crane hook while on Edge's shoulders. The Brood follows this with a double overhead suplex from the second rope, but miss the follow-up splash. The Road Dogg manages to make the hot tag, and BABG cleans house. Christian comes down and catches the Fame-ass-er.
4-11-99 (HeAT)
The tag team champs, X-Pac and Kane, challenge Owen Hart and Double J to a match. They come out and bitch at each other. The New Age Outlaws come out and the Road Dogg says that Owen, Jeff, and Debra are all smoking his goods if they think they are the #1 contenders for the titles. X-Pac agrees to make it a three-way. Later on, the Road Dogg is backstage reading a book. Bad Ass Billy Gunn is pissed off at him; Billy wants him to stop reading and start getting ready for the match. The match is the main event; the NAO's entrance ritual is interrupted by the arrival of Hart and Jarrett. X-Pac DOES fight his fellow degenerates, and ends up nailing BABG with the X-factor for the win in a fast match.
4-12-99 (RAW)
Bad Ass Billy Gunn is fighting Val Venis. When Jarrett and Hart come out to attack Gunn, the Road Dogg runs down and tries to fight them off. Val ends up helping the Outlaws also.
4-18-99 (HeAT)
No Road Dogg tonight.
4-19-99 (RAW)
The Road Dogg defeats Owen Hart. Prior to the match, Road Dogg lays down the rules. If Owen wins, then Owen and JJ become the #1 contenders for the tag titles, undisputed. If Road Dogg wins, however, Debra has to let the puppies roam free. Road Dogg gets the shake, rattle, and roll early, but Owen counters with a spinning heel kick. Owen remains in control and hits an enziguri that leds to a near fall. Road Dogg sees his opportunity when Owen misses the sharpshooter, and Road Dogg wins with the pumphandle slam. Debra starts to uphold her part of the bargain, but Jarrett runs in brandishing a guitar and stops that cold.
4-25-99 (HeAT)
As quoted on Top-Rope.com, one of the commentators here is "the charismatic fountain of hardline wrestling journalism known as Lucas "Don't bury me...I'm not DEAD" Swineford." LOL... anyway. Road Dogg's not on, dagnabbit.
4-25-99 (PPV: Backlash?)
The New Age Outlaws defeat Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett to become the #1 contenders for the tag team titles.
4-26-99 (RAW)
Triple H and Bad Ass go at it. Bad Ass actually gets "suck my dick" past the censors; go Billy! Gunn is doing well when Chyna gets in a cheap shot and Road Dogg runs in. She blocks him as Triple H hits the pedigree for the win.
4-29-99 (SmackDown!)
A preview of what's to come this fall. The Outlaws battle Kane and X-Pac. I'm not sure how things turn out (I'm GUESSING Kane and X-Pac won), but I do know Bad Ass sought X-Pac out after the match and hit him.
