    Mind set: A Bakur may make fun of or  just haul off and hit any Imperials . They also believe other species are lesser except the Slair and Sheel . They are worthy opponents.

Appearance and Biology: The Bakur are the most physically dominant of the species in the Dark System .  They stand only 1.8 meters but have very broad shoulders and are very built . Their eyes are set extra far back so that the forehead and cheekbones stick out . This shields their eyes from the sun . Their eyes constantly excrete water and it is then caught on the cheekbone . This keeps the eyes from getting dry from the heat . The skin of the Bakur is very rough and weathered . They are covered with a thin layer of fur. This reflects sunlight . Their chin is seperated out into three sections much like the Aqualish. They have four fat fingers .

Temperament: The Bakur are not cheery people . They are usually grim and feel that they are board . So they fight and advance their weapons . Their only friends are Bakurs and slightly feel other species are lesser . They will highly value the person who can make them laugh and forget their worries . Since they aren't too funny and they aren't too friendly, this hasn't happened yet . They do have a sense of humor though . A very twisted one . Their jokes tend to have somebody dying . They have a hot temper and if they feel they have been insulted they will try to kill the person who insulted him . Stubborn.

History and Culture: Bakur may seem very dumb but really it's because their species has only been alive for several thousand years . This means they have advanced and evolved much quicker than humans since they already have slow sublight fighters. Their planet is still young too . It is mostly ocean . Most of the land is volcanoes . Their are no continents, just one super continent .
    The Bakur have been fighting a century old war with two of the surrounding species .It is believed that the reason Bakurs fight the Sheel and Slair is an insult aimed at their leader by a Slair . It is still unknown why they fight the Sheel . They used to fight wherever . When the Bakur were attacked their land would get hurt but they would always win . So they made an aggreement to fight on an uninhabited world . The other species didn't like getting their planet rocked to so they agreed . So now they wreak destruction on a forest planet . The plant life regenerates fast enough though that it still looks pretty good .
    The Bakur have one very strong opinion . If the Sheel or Slairjoin with the Empire , it is like they cried for help or ran away . The Bakur think of the Empire as a bunch of wimps . They think their armor looks "sissy" and that they repeatedly choose weaker races to work for them . Humans appear to be puny to them and feel the Empire should be begging for them to help the Empire . Only once has the Empire attacked them . They believed that they could have been a good slave race like the Sludir or Wookie . Bakur proved to be smarter than they looked . First they let the Slair and Sheel think they were alied with them once the Bakur learned of the Empires plans . The Bakur easily took out all ground troops , using the lands to their advantage . Especially the lava . The combined force of the Bakur ,Slair and Sheel they forced the Empire out of the system . This is the only time they have sort of worked together .

Politics: Bakur find it easier to have one person make all the decisions ,as things are decided quicker, followed through quicker and nobody can really argue with it . So far this has worked since the leaders have been good and the Bakur's self respect for each other . They will hardly ever argue amongst themselves but will argue more with other species .

Technology Level: Bakur are capable of sublight travel and weak blasters and firearms . The first thing they learned to do was bash in each others heads so the second thing was making armor to prevent this . Bakur armor is very impressive technologically and in appearance.
